She has nothing to prove to you, the results speak for themself, if you think she is a crap deck it is your weakness, not her problem. It is just unbelievable to me at this point that you can still stick with that in the face of her success.

Hey guys, I'll post up a tournament report later this week. The tournament was a ton of fun and the new tournament hall FFG has set up is pretty fantastic. The prize support was also pretty epic. I'll give a run down later.

As for Rock Howard being a 5HS character.. I don't consider him a 5HSer.

Rock Howard is kinda good.

Especially since, as far as I know, he's immune to most conventional anti card draw.

rock howard is NOT 5hs, not even close. he's such a fun character. i'm gald he topped. i wanted dani to top with that astrid. NON-FOIL CHARACTERS ARE HOT! I said it.

I almost made it in... apparently I needed to have gone 4-1-1 instead of 4-2. Oh well, I still love my 73 card Astrid deck.

I've heard nothing but awesome when it comes to Astrid.

And 73 cards seems like a good number for a deck that, from what I understand, draws like a fiend.

PotM was loads of fun as every UFS event it. I played my Hilde deck that went 4-1-1 in swiss so it was not a bad record IMO. The deck is a lot of fun and can be very aggressive. For those curious fire seems to be quite good now I made top 8 with a fire deck and I know Scubadude was very close to making it as well. However I got steamrolled by John Macek in top 8 but I feel it was a good run for a deck I built a few days before with little playtesting. I want to thank

Dani for letting my group and I stay at her grandmothers amazing house and the badass Chun-li poster. I forgot to tell you to be good before I left though.

Nick and other WI players for showing up to event and hanging out I missed all you guys.

Me and my friend DT decided to drive to Minnesota for some strange reason. After a grueling 20 hour car trip, I can tell you NEVER AGAIN. Ugh. Nevermind the car trip back. We finally got back around 3pm at which point I crashed completely and didnt wake up until 11 at night Things discovered on the trip? Hardees has some of the best burgers ever. We met up with Macek at MN (He was smart enough to actually fly), and spent the night tweaking decks in preparation for Saturday. I used a Juni Spiral Lockdown deck. Unfortunately, I made some key mistakes and didnt even get close to top 8. Still, I'm not to upset with how she did. I at least didnt lose to any Defender loops, which was my biggest worry. I didnt come in dead last like I did at ECC either

In any case, had a lot of fun. PoTM itself is amazing. We also saw Abelia's and Lotus Garden in various prize kits, both of which I think will make for some interesting fun. I managed to make a lot of trades to help fill my '4 of everything' binder. Even managed to get some of the new Champion cards from people, although I despair at getting 4 of each of them. In an amazing bit of coincidence, Macek made 3rd in the main event, DT made 3rd in the Legacy event (God, that stupid , and I made 3rd in the Sealed. Astrid is a MONSTER in sealed. Some confusion involving the prize packs resulted in someone else accidentally getting my prize pack, though. Sadly, I dont think what I recieved was as good as the stuff in the packs (Anyone want a promo Hsienko, I have something like 15 of them now) although I did get a rather cool art print out of it.

I had a lot of fun hanging out with people. The night we filled Chili's was amazing and the staff had a lot of patience. We didnt have quite so big a turn out the next night as apparently the group wasnt as coordinated. Ended up going to TGIF with DT, Macek, and some other friends we made that weeked. Me being a complete light weight when it comes to alchohol continues to haunt me. Many thanks to the Canadian group (*waves*) for muling patches for me so I could get a playset for my brother.

Yeah that was my bad. I asked Dani if she would play it out in hopes of her beating Macek in order to have me overcome him in the last round of swiss, since we were both playing Chun Li. Instead, Macek won and ended up 2nd after swiss while I was 4th and got diversified.

Don't let it bother you Matt, I wanted to play it out anyways. I still did far better with Astrid than I thought I would, considering I didn't playtest it at all after getting some of the cards for it. I'll probably post my decklist later tonight or tomorrow for anyone interested.

The main change was the addition of Paying Respects, and I think Owlface as well as another Assassination Arts... I think I put in 2 more attacks too >_> I don't remember what else though, I was so sleep deprived that Friday.

what were your attacks dani? i'm gonna build this sexy party! 6hs for the win we both got so close to tops with it, right outside of top cuts. granted my promo alex isn't really 6hs but printed counts and lord knows i got tag alonged plenty enough
