TIE Shuttle

By Tycho120, in X-Wing

Are there any official game stats or scenarios using the TIE Shuttle (a ship seen in Episode V of the original trilogy)?

No. Nothing. Zero.

The TIE Shuttle does not exist. For now.

TIE Bomber Mod is what I hope we will see shortly.

Well, it's fairly easy to mod the miniature. We'd only need the cards and cardboard.

For the shuttle version you just need to remove the bomb shute under it..

I just got some mold material and am gonna try to mold the weapons pod so I can make a heavy bomber.. that will just entail adding the new pod to the top of the original one.. should be easy enough to do.. says the guy who has never molded something before.. lol

Easy and awesome to do for a scenario.

What might be fun is to have three unarmed TIE/Bombers as TIE/Shuttles with a complement of escort ships of your choosing.

Many Bothans died to bring the rebel scum information that a villanous and high ranking official of the Empire is aboard one (Edit: chosen in secret by the Empire player) of the shuttles, but they are unable to determine which of the three shuttles in the convoy this Villan is aboard.

Rebel Command has dispatched a fleet to capture(or destroy if you prefer) this official before the Empire's convoy crosses the board where they are schedule to meet an Imperial Star Destroyer that will be jumping out of hyperspace.

What would be a good idea for a scenario would be three Ties Shuttle/boarding craft and they simply have to get to a certain edge of the table that would simulate the edge of a Rebel capital ship, and the rebels have to stop all of them. The Empire wins if one gets through to board the ship!

Or once the CR-90 and Transport arrive, the TIE/Shuttles could be chasing down the rebel scum, board them in order to "reeducate" them as to the errors of joining their puny ressistance, while they try (depending on who you want to win) in vain to flee across the board.

Fun possibilities!

I really like the idea of using the bomber minis as shuttles and have the Rebels desperate attempts to stop the boarding action, especially of the shuttles have some special rules to offer them extra protection.

Lack of attack, but extra evade?

Yeah something like that, could result in a really tense game, the Empire only need to get one shuttle to the table edge to complete the boarding action and then it's game over for the Rebel scum!
