A simple question really, can the psychic's Witch Blood ability be used to remove a Doom token from the GOO during a Final Battle Upkeep? I'd say yes and played it as such (Lost anyways, 6 hits from victory with 8 investigators... 3 of which couldn't attack. I was shocked too, trust me...) but I suppose it's still open to interpretation.

Clearly the answer is yes.

Marie Lambeau, the Entertainer, has the Witch Blood ability. The Final Battle has an upkeep phase, and there are still doom tokens on the ancient one, so yes.

Kevin actually said you could use it in final battle.

So now you have to decide if it would be best to prevent the AO from awakening, or to help defeat the AO in final battle.

Too bad this ability is not on a funner character though.

She's one of the better casters IMO since she can cast 3 withers or Sword of Glory/Flamethrower and Wither. Then if she has a healing stone, hangs out in northern arkham, etc. she can cast, say, three Shrivelings. That's more power than most characters can whip up and the sanity cost keeps the ability in check.

i have nothing but love for marie. Azure Flame and/or Storm of Spirits turns her into a powerhouse. Otherwise, Wither, .38, and the Enchanted Knife she starts with will do just fine, +9 to combat checks and no sanity cost at all.

Yes but I like to use it before final to buy more time... ie win or get shotgun, etc
