I've been saying it like "Sah Nal-HOUR," but it doesn't feel right coming out of my mouth, haha. "Sah NaLOR?" I want to have a consistent way of pronouncing it before I run BTR for my players.
How do you pronounce Sa Nalaor?
The correct way? No idea, but saying it in my head matches with the second way, "Sah NaLOR"
I always said it with a total of four syllables. Sa Na-La-Or. I always thought it was kind of musical with the first three syllables rhyming. When I played Reom in BtR, I tried to make him sound like Hondo Ohnaka from the clone wars. Kind of that Ricardo Montalban/Khan spanishish accent. I also made him say Technnolgy wrong, which at the time, was a hit, but now I hear that every other word from my players much to my chargrin. I broke that word down by the sounds as well. Tech-No-lo-gee.
But I don't really think there is a right or wrong way.
The 'P' is silent...........
Sa
Na
La
Or
I went with "sah nal-ey-awr" (the "ey-awr" is pronounced like the beginning of "aorta").
Edited by HappyDazeSah Na Lor is so much easier to say and recall for players.
It's spelled "Sa Nalaor," but it's pronounced "Throatwobbler Mangrove."
I say "Sa Na La Or" but I could see it being "Sa Na Laur" possibly.
You say potato, I say potato, you say Han (HANN) Solo, I say Han (HAHN) Solo, let's call the whole thing off.
"that ship that crashed"
Sah Na Layor
"Sauna Layer". Sounds like a 70's porn movie ![]()
Sah Na Layor
That's how I do it, too.
in my notes and i the white board we use for gaming it was written.
"Sa Nala-or"
