Spent Two Evenings On This

By MoonlitDNC, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I've spent the last two of my evenings here researching & reading up on character creation in the Core Rulebook. It was a bit of a struggle, but I think I understand enough of it now and could probably do it again in a quicker amount of time.

I was hoping I could get some proofreading from someone more experienced & any comments on anything that might look like an error.

There's a few sections I've purposfully not filled out that I'd imagine would be better determined at the start of a session/campaign - i.e. the Credits box - I have 25 leftover from creation, but I'd otherwise have to roll to see how much I start out with....right?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated~

Yeah, I can't recommend Ogg's generator enough either, it turned a 3hour slog of reading, fiddling and other stuff into literally a 10min job so you can see where everything has gone. Just filter out the things up the top which are applicable to your particular game so it doesn't become information overload.

I went and converted everything into the character generator. Took a little while to figure it out, but the end result seems to be a fairly comprehensive character sheet. It also made me notice I must have forgot to add +1 Encumbrance for the blaster.

Whether or not my choices of skills & such are sound remains to be seen I guess - still need to playtest and see how things go with the stuff I picked out.

Here's a recent thread, crammed with character creation tips.

Gave that thread a read - I liked the posting on practical use of skills in RP situations. That's sort of how my character is built already with room left for her to grow into any responsibilities the rest of the group requires of her.

I've also got a general idea of how the dice and combat works. I'm fairly confident I could get started rather soon here so long as I could find a patient/experienced & willing group to moderate their pace + explain things to a newbie such as myself.

Been a fair few looking for players / looking for group posts around here, recently - mostly posted by actual human beings rather than secret, creepy, internet serial killers. (I may be wrong. My judgement is often impaired. I take no responsibility for any actual murder resulting from advice I offer.)
