Dear green squid,

You seem to think I don't know were the "Organized Play" subforum is. I do, and there is a link there about it. I also know that just like 95% of the people never go past the first page of Google search results so do most forum readers. So I figured I'd make this on the first page of the forum to make it easier for them to see.

Ahhhh, I'm glad that you feel a tournament in a backwater town will be of interest to people all over the world and not just those who might happen to frequent the area. Let me go and book my flights taking me half way around the globe so that I may attend this fine and upstanding event. Although I would hope that next time you might be considerate that this forum isn't particularly USA only and is frequented by a great many individuals outside your country, and that they may not care about your local store championships, but may instead give a **** about you further crapping up the general forums area.

Thank you for showing what you think about a nice town, that btw is 3 hours from where I live thank you. I understand there are people on here from all over the world. I am glad all but one decided to just ingore this post like a decent person would. I don't know how or if I can even move this post.....sorry to throw a "spanner" in the works!

I'm glad that yet another friendly reminder about playing X-wing can be turned into an argument about where best to post information. This is a General Forum used for whatever the hell you want to post about. Insulting Bjorn's town and store championship is definitely not the way to foster a good gaming community. Aside from interrupting the "What about this list?" or "This is why the TIE Advanced sux" and "I have a rules question, but I don't want to read the rules, FAQ, or post in the Rules Question Section" all this post did is pass on information to people who might be nearby and interested.

People cross-post all the time. Don't be such jerk insulting the OP's town. Besides, Murfreesboro right next to Nashville, the capital of Tennessee so it's kind of the opposite of backwater.

To the OP: Where, when and what time does the Tourney start? I'm in Ft. Campbell, KY.

I'm glad then you feel that having everyone dump their stuff about organised play into the general forum section is a good thing. Let's just have everyone post their info about organised play in here as well. After all a few hundred extra posts that will bury the correct content won't hurt? *facepalm*

If the OP wanted to grow the community in a positive manner they could:

Post about it in the existing thread in the appropriate subforum where it belongs.

Post it on other forums that cater specifically to the region like a miniature forum that caters for the US market.

Post info about it on facebook groups, specifically ones that cater to the region.

You can say that without being rude, Eltnot. Hope if you ever visit my backwater town you don't have to play against someone acting rudely as you are.

This thread should be referenced any time someone complains that only young X-wing players have poor manners.
