So, I stopped reading through the Rebel aces thread after about page 20, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed there.
I'm curious what all of ya'll think the flipped down card in the rebel aces pack is. Looking through the other 12 cards exposed, we have 2 unique cards, and then 5 sets of 2 copies of everything else. It would seem to me then that the hidden card should be a unique card as well, otherwise there would be two copies of it.
But we know it's a missile (or at least uses the missile slot). Which means that it's designed for use on the A wing. And I can't think of ANY reason for why there would be a unique missile (I mean, they're expendable, the point is that they're one use weapons, so you have to have lots of them).
So, I've come up with 2 conclusions. Perhaps it's a reusable missile or sorts, thus why it is unique (because the one card represents multiple missiles, but to keep it from obsoleting every other missile, it's unique) something like "concussion missile magazine" or something. Conclusion #2, and imo the more likely conclusion knowing what we know about the rest of the expansion pack - it is some sort of refit that gets rid of the missile launcher tubes and gives the A wing a sensor upgrade.
This would continue the recent theme of trading 1 slot for another (Astro -> EPT, Title -> PT, Title -> Crew, Title -> Mod, Missile -> Sensors). It would also be a perfect use of Enhanced Scopes + Arvel. And it would also keep the Chaardan Refit from being an auto add - do you want 2 extra points, or do you want a sensor slot? It would also keep Arvel from being overpowered in the sense of "let me shoot ordnance at you at R1 and you can't do jack about it." Well, I guess he can currently do that, but it's much harder to execute. It could be useful to put AdvS on A wings, especially since they can PTL / DD to gain a stress, and then do a green to clear it off, so they'd never be sitting on a stress.
But those are just my thoughts - what do ya'll think the flipped down card could be?
