Does it matter? It looks to me like both of those squadrons are the same. If you are supposed to have Night Beast in one instead of Winged Gundark I'd go with that although with six TIEs I'd consider something else completely.

This gives a group of highly skill TIE Fighters. If you feel you must have Academy Pilots in there for blocking you can drop the BSP and give Swarm Tactics to Mauler and Howlrunner while entering a 2 point bid on initiative. If you are worried about crits landing on Howlrunner than you could use DtF on the BSP instead of VI. I really have a hard time wrapping my head around putting a Shield Upgrade on a T/F.

It's actually not a bad combination with Draw Their Fire--spreads out the damage, which is good for the swarm, and negates the first critical hit entirely. But its value (like the value of BSP+DTF itself) varies quite a bit depending on luck and the matchup.

I prefer the Howlrunner list with the Interceptor as a high-damage flanker.

However, I'd also suggest using all 6 named ties, leaving you 3 points for a Howlrunner Stealth Device ;-)

Night Beast - SD

3 Obsidians

Night beast couldnt die 4 defense plus focus evade was unstoppable haha. Very fun list

Either list is fine. Probably.

Id pick the first, as you have a combination of PS 1 blocker, and 6 ships shooting at higher PS. Unlike the PS 6 tie swarms, you won't be as prone to being blocked by those pesky A wings, or other swarms, which can make a huge difference in some matchups.

7 ships is good as well. Downside is, you'll probably lose 1 ship before it shoots. The perk compared to 6 ties is, losing 1 ship won't hurt as much. With 6 ties, you can still lose a ship during the first round, even if you take out a PS2 X Wing in the first rounds of fire. Meaning second round will be 5 ships.

Tough call.

I think list 1 will see more full wins instead of modified wins, so id roll that one.

Not a bad idea but I am set on running a 'howl swarm'
