So I recently played in a store championship for the first time and had a ton of fun however there was something that seemed off about the scoring and ide like to hear what others think. It was in regards to when the time limit expires and how a win is calculated. I'll give you my example of what happened at the tournament I was in. I had a 1 rookie pilot xwing left with r2d2 and full hull as well as shields. My opponent had 1 xwing left which was wedge and he only had 1 hull left and 0 shields. Time ran out and he received a modified win since he had destroyed more points from my list. To me it seemed that it was obvious I would have defeated him but yet he still won by just flying around the board with me chasing behind him not able to catch up in time. I'm not a sore loser by any means I just felt like I should have won that match based on the fact that I only needed 1 hit and he would have needed 5. Anyways any thoughts on this would be great.
Tournament scoring
Pretty much an inevitable side effect of having timed games and assigning a score. No matter how you do it, there will be situations where the looser almost certainly would have eventually won if the game had just continued.
It's just one of the unfortunate realities of tournaments.
Edited by ForgottenloreThe scoring at the end of the game only cares about those cards that have been eliminated from the game. That fact her was able to keep you in chase was brilliant on his part. The only thing I would have paid attention for is if he slowed his play while running. That is the only thing that would have made it unfair, by the rules.
This brings up a question I had though. Does the chardaan refit in rebel aces cause any issues with tournament scoring? I wouldn't think so, but it seems like the sort of thing that might impact.

Yeah... Not seeing how it would have anything to do with scoring. What stops A-wings from doing this now?
