New to xwing looking for a few casual gamers to try out my skills and improve.

There are SEVERAL groups in the Atlanta area, but I can't think of any that are ITP. I'm sure someone on here can prove me wrong. FCB in Alpharetta may be the closest

What part of Atlanta are you in? Sometimes I play at a game group that meets on Thursdays at the IHOP on S. Cobb Dr. just off the 285 exit. Secretscon on meetup.com is the page for the group. Used to be many xwing players in the group. Only a couple of us now. I'll probably be there this coming Thursday if you want to play. The game group plays many different games, but if you make arrangements before there is usually one or two to play any game with you. I'm always looking to play xwing. Haven't got to play in a couple months.

I think there is a group that meets on Sundays at the North Dekalb Mall at a store called Challenges (it used to be the arcade there), I have just gotten the game and some ships, and have been learning to play with my wife, so I haven't gone up there yet. But I'd love to see a good group come together ITP. All the other game stores I like to go to are OTP and quite a haul from where I live.

As McCoy said, join the FB group. This is one of the most active groups for X-wing and everyone is very welcoming. Most of my week nights end up getting filled with X-wing at FCB or Giga Bytes and there are plenty of competitive opportunities coming up with almost all of the stores running a store championship. Have fun!
