So the rebels are getting a transport and the blockade runner. What would everyone want to see for big imperial ships? Personally I would love to see the Carrack Cruiser as its one of my favorites from EU that is not star destroyer sized.

IPV patrol craft maybe?

At a push and once again a scale alteration here and there, maybe a Acclamator class? although that was more of a troop transport. It's tough since a lot of the Empires ships are much larger than that of the Alliance and some people would only complain about scale if they just shrunk a standard ISD down to tabletop size.

The Carrack does look pretty cool though and I wouldn't complain if they announced it.

I liked the Lancer Frigate, but they seem large compared to the republic large ships.

I could see a EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate.. I know everyone thinks it was a rebel ship but imperials used them heavily as well..

First lets take the ludicrous star Destroyer and it's ilk off the table. The only wedge-shaped ship we'll be likely to see is the Vigil Corvette . The CR90 is even under-sized to get it on to the table and is the benchmark of what size of ship that we'll be seeing. The CR90 is 150 meters long.

Wookiepedia states the Carrack is 350 meters, and the Lancer is 250 meters. The Strike cruisers are 450 meters. The Nebulon-B is 300 meters. The Vigil is 255 meters. Wookepedia has been wrong before when it concerns lengths, but I don't have a reason to doubt most of these ships.

The only contenders I can consider seriously are the Gozanti Cruiser and the CR92A . Not much for variety but the Assasin Corvettes were very definitely in Imperial service.

What might be neat is if the Imperials get a fighter carrier that allows for cheap PS1 or PS2 ships can be loaded on it and launched in combat. Though that creates a rather big issue of super swarms in Epic Play. Maybe they could do it like how hardpoints or cargo upgrades are being used.

More like the republic ships shown were stolen from the Empire, the Empire operates most of the unit until the republic won by taking over much of the known space.

Really there are a lot of ships in the game that could plausibly be used by both sides. YT-1300, firespray, HWK, transport, corvette, basically any ship that is used by fringe elements. I really wish that with a couple of them they had included pilot cards for both factions.

With the special packs we are getting, that could become a distinct possibility.
