So to keep it short: I can't beat it! I'm looking for general strategies or anything that might be helpful. Revealing 4 cards, many of which surge, is just brutal (often having to have revealed 3 right before advancing to the last stage) and I've tried a lot of different decks already. Is it very luck dependent, or am I just missing some big tactic I could be using? Thanks all!
Nightmare Journey Down the Anduin
Very difficult quest actually. To win it Nmode you should to make a very solid deck. Thorin company deck can make it but you should change Thorin for Gloin. Then Elrond Mirlonde Glorifindel deck with Vilya and Beorn ally from core set also can do it.
Outlands deck also can make it. Hirluin Beravur Theodred.
Elrond and lore Glorfindel are useless, cos you must discard each card that heals Wilyador

You are a very confused person.
Check out this video NM JDTA with Outlands deck. I lost it but still you can see some ideas there…...

Well, I thought you want to use them for healing...

we talking about Andiun not about Rosgobel my friend.....
Oooh, sorry guys, I read Journey and thought about Rhosgobel, haha. ![]()
Sorry.
Thanks Glaurung! I'll check your video out after work, I could use a new approach at this point. Outlands sounds promising because by the end it can be a total powerhouse, and you definitely need it for this quests end. And thanks for trying Scroll!
I haven't tried Nightmare Rhosgobel yet, I was trying to go in order and... Well here I am, lol.

I make couple of stupid mistake there. Count wrong will power and so on…..anyway i glad you like it. I always try to create some really struggle videos. And this one i think i successful about it.

Is that Lore or Spirit Glorfindel?

Spirit. I think lore Glorifndel now is rary used Hero. He is just to expensive. Maybe only in some special mono lore deck....
I know a lot of tactics that might help you, but none fo them has any guarantee and it is up to you to include them or not.... I don't know if it meant to be of use in solo or multiplayer games but still here are my ideas ...
Thalin: Returning the Crows over rounds makes your life a lot easier ...... The Galadhon Archer might kill the snipers when you play Thalin (or spearman if you are ever able to engage)
High Willpower: Eowyn, Aragorn + Sword, ... With locations of 5 and 10 I think high willpower is crucial, without high willpower you probably have to raise a lot during the game, Asfaloth might help in here to take out Brown Lands for example. Snowbourn scout is a nice alternative if not running Lore.
I'd include some Sneaky Wizards as well, you need to kill the Trolls after all ....
Strategy wise, I'd say you better not linger ^^. Phase 3 is the only stage you want to be. So don't take millions of rounds ... Treacheries will kill you otherwise.
I really like Thalin (but maby he just doesnt make enough difference in solo play, but with 3/4 players he should be an auto-include. You might even provoke this idea to include Shadows of the Past for returning the crows to the deck whenever they turned into a shadow.
Theoretically you could get an encounter deck block, if The crows remain, something that would be nice if you passed phase 1. Because you will get infinite time (because no engagements are made) to build armies before you pass to phase 3. But this has never happened in my games.
