Today a humble 7 players gathered; 4x Rebel Scum and 3 awesome superior Imperial loyalists.
(bias? no clue why you seem to think I am biased!)
Alas a 4th Imp player cancelled a few days earlier so this was it.
We played 4 rounds with each round one rebel having a bye.
End-result:
No. 1:
Soontir Fel (ptl and targetting computer) + Lt. Lorrir won convincingly; 4 rounds they literally destroyed all opposition. Once Lt. Lorrir got blown out of space. Soontir evaded all that was thrown (shot/fired/blasted) at him.
No. 2:
B-Wing+heavy laser cannon + y-wing with blaster turret (missing a few points here; think it was an additional shield or somesuch)
Only lost to No.1 and had 2 convincing wins. (plus the bye counting as win)
No.3
2x B-Wings (one blue and a dagger), both with sensor jammers
VERY nasty squadron at this point level.
Only lost to no.1, Had 2 convincing wins. (plus the bye counting as win)
Got relegated to no.3 due to having just a tiny amount of points 'extra' destroyed in his won games.
No. 4/5
Lorrir plus Kir Kanos (both stealth, one targetting comp) were tied 4/5 with a Saber squadron Interceptor, Dark Curse and an Academy pilot (upgrades a bit fuzzy but IIRC a stealth device and ptl)
No. 6;
Biggs+R2 astromech plus Luke the R5 version
No. 7:
Luke+Y-wing with Ion cannon turret (upgrades fuzzy again)
All things considered it went really well and only after a few hours of buzz it seems that the next event on may 31st will have a few more people attending. (at least 3/4 extra so far!)
Next time I am likely to bring me some rebels but for this event I was extremely happy with the Interceptor performance. ![]()
