Scoring system used

By PsychoRocka, in Quest Log Feedback & Support Forum

Hey Guys,

Finally just started using the quest log on here but ran into a problem.
Looking through other peoples stats it appears that some use the old scoring system (without the +10 points per round used) and some use the new one (obviously with +10 points per round).

While I understand the reasoning behind the new changes as outlined in the above thread it still seems like a terrible fix..... I don't think I should be punished for using decks that take a little while to get set up and can't play like 20+ cards in the first two turns... plus I don't use will of the west and would never bother to stall a game just to get a better score....
What do you guys use? Trying to figure out which is more used/accepted/preferred by the majority of you to see if its worth sticking to the old scoring system or if I should be using the new one.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I use the 10 pt per completed round scoring system, and yes that means that slow set up decks are penalized in this game. Even the Organized play rules are designed with fast decks in mind. This is probably why many players don't keep score or play competitively, since the best scores can only be achieved by a handful of decks that are fast, which also means using a limited amount of the card pool. This all equals less fun for some players.

The main reason why i keep score with the 10 pt rule is just to compare different decks while accounting for their set up time. Although I only keep my best scores in the quest log, so it would look like all I play is Outlands for some players it will be dwarves.

If you are concerned about score is a slow deck, the best hero for a set up deck in solo play is Aragorn lore paired with a spirit hero for further threat reduction. They can shave 20 or more pts off your final score

Oh man I actually use lore Aragorn.. Totally should use his ability last round even if not necessary for the point gain!

Thanks Tracker!

I don't use scores system and quest log anymore since there is no point of that. Tracker1 explain it very clear is limited deck building and so on. Useless toy in my opinion now….

I'm using the official (10 points per round) scoring system and log all games.

Interesting..... yeah since I started the other day I've been logging all games inclusive of losses, I think I'm going to stick to using the old scoring system though..... its obvious when comparing with friends which system they use and it doesn't sound like its really taken too seriously or used properly or the same by many people. Just going to use it to track my wins and losses mainly and which quests I have and haven't completed.

I use the proper system if you want to compare against my scores!

Soooo... which one is the proper system again?

People using old system would call that proper, I´d wager while people using the new would claim much the same.

To me: proper is the official system
