I'm not sure that Jabba has Soak 10, honestly. Recall that Ziro the Hutt was killed with one blast from what looked to be a holdout blaster (although without knowing the specific model it's just as reasonable to assume that it was a heavy blaster pistol). Also recall that Ziro the Hutt's mother is so freakin' ENORMOUS a Wound Threshold of 30 and Soak 10 is entirely reasonable despite her being a mushy, soft-skinned gastropod who probably "runs" in terror from salt packets.
In other words, in my interpretation of the rules the Hutt Crime Lord provided in the Core Rulebook is a gigantic Hutt on par with Ziro's mom. "Regular" Hutts have a far more normal Soak value, although usually I give them a pretty decent Wound Threshold.
All that being said, the only Hutt who's been hurt/killed in my campaign was crushed like soda can by a rancor under the control of a renegade Blackguard... not exactly the sort of thing I needed a rulebook for! ![]()

I don't, either. I think he'd provide it though.
I was only goofing around but let's play. Say Jabba has only 5 Soak (from thick skin and lots and lots of meat) - that's what is protecting his organs. To hurt someone on on the other side of him you'd have to go through this Soak, through his juicy organs, then through more meat and skin again. The superheated gasses will lap around - you'd still take a lot of damage - but especially in a cinematic game you'd be better off than the other schlubs in the room. Soak 10 seems fair.
