I note that Marvel Heroes is not listed in the catalog or here in the forums, though it is still active in the old forums. Where is it? Has this game been dropped?
Where's Marvel Heroes?

FFG stopped supoorting it at least a year or so ago. It's DOA I'm afraid.
Heh. They stopped supporting it after it was out less than a month. What a disaster!
It wasn't their fault, if my information is correct. Rather, the blame lies with Marvel Comics.
I could be wrong, but that was my understanding.
Wow, am I ever blind...
Oh well, maybe they will see 2 posts and respond to at least one?

Marvel has certainly meddled in such things before and made a mess of it so it wouldn't surprise me. Still, that only explains the initial product problems. Does it explain the lack of support afterwards?
It would if Marvel pulled FFG's Licencse to use their IP for the product.
Indeed. I heard something about Marvel Comics placing a prohibitively high cost on the license renewal, or something like that.
I'm not very familiar with this sort of process, and it was a while ago, so don't quote me on anything.

And how fast would this have happened? Marvel Heroes was abandoned within a few months of its release. Would they have lost the license that quickly? Perhaps they knew they were going to lose the license and rushed their product out the door. That'd explain quite a bit.
Well, you could always try BoardGameGeek! Seems like someone's even posted a revised version of the game...
Wasn't it a 'Nexus' game NOT an FFG game? I was under the impression that Nexus got the license, designed and developed and FFG just distributed it. Ditto for War of the Rings!
Marvel probably want too much $$$ for the license. They are in the stratosphere after hits such as Iron Man move.
I have Marvel Heroes and though I'm new to FFG, I'd like to have included it in my games collection as well as maybe chat with a few other players. It's not for the beginning gamer but offers alot of interaction. Anyone out there like the game or would offer tips? On another note, I just picked up Cosmic Encounter and can't wait to play it with friends!
I really liked it and found it fun. It is a bit hard to understand how to play at first but once we got it going it pretty cool, I glad I got a copy before it went away but I am disappointed to see fantasy flight no longer supporting it. I don't understand why games disappear with no info on why? Would it kill them to let their fans and customers know what is happening to games they like?

That was me
I'm now hosting the full download at my website www.oroborus.biz . It is still a work in progres but my Talisman and Marvel Heroes files are ther.
Hi
I've posted a thread on the legacy board in respect of this game.
Yeah, I agree.
Like another poster mentioned though, BGG is a viable alternative and farily active.
And the BGG forum software is MUCH better than this load of old rubbish...
Topic tracking and subscription is the thing I miss most in the new FFG forum. Seriously, I'm amazed they found a software package that DOESN'T have it???
I rarely post here at all since they made the change to the new software. BGG is my turf for talking games for the most part.
