As a relative rookie I have no favourite ships yet.

But I would like to see:

-The Tie Advanced to be worth the points (is there anyone fielding those except when Vader is in it?)

-More named fairly cheap pilots for the Tie Fighter and X-Wing. (nothing too powerful, just worth the points)

-Perhaps the A-Wing needs a little love too.

tl;dr. Just tweak the points for ships you hardly ever see. (in our LGS anyhow)

Tie Interceptor for its design, maneuvrability, speed and firepower. It's a threat you can't ignore. In game, now being able to equip 2 modifications help the player to adapt it to his playstyle and taste. Only thing missing would be an ability like the advanced sensors, that would make it perfect. Maybe a modification that allow the ship to take system upgrades, like the Astromech that allow pilots to take a EPS.

A-Wing is decidedly my favorite. I'd love more pilots (the cheaper the ship, the more unique pilots should be available), but that's minor as the generic can equip EPTs, making them kind of like customizable pilots.

I would have said Barrel Roll, but over time I've decided it doesn't NEED it (just feels like it should have it).

So my wish? Like others have said, System Upgrade. With how easily they clear stress, Advance Sensors & Push the Limit would kill!

Interceptor. Nothing is more fun to fly. I'd put Fel or Turr against almost any 2 other ships.

If we're talking mods to stats it's hard to say. Maybe bump all PS of non-named by 1?

For future mods/such? Defensive abilities on EPT pilots instead of maneuverability. Turr is the only mobility based ability worth his points, cowall didn't pay anything for his.

So far I've considered myself to have four favorites on equal ground. I have a hard time narrowing things down, but I think I can do it here. Out of the four, one I feel is currently fine, and one is coming in the next wave, so I can't judge it yet. Out of the remaining two, there is the Shuttle and the HWK-290. In the games I've played, the Shuttle doesn't end up doing a whole lot, but it survives, so I'm going to pick the HWK-290.

The HWK-290's my favorite ship because I grew up with Dark Forces. I knew the movies were the main canon, but I probably played Dark Forces a hundreds times more than I ever watched the movies. It's to the point that the HWK-290 is specifically what got me into this game (I saw the model in a catalog advertising Wave 3 and was going to buy it just to display, but during the wait for Wave 3 I decided to try out the game and ended up liking it).

What change would I make? Make it into more of a combat ship. I know it's not supposed to be, and I have nothing against support roles on their own. It's just that, when I put Kyle Katarn or Jan Ors in my squad, I want them to be reflecting the memories I have of the games. I don't really want to break the ship for the sake of symbolism though, so I'd be good with a compromise. At least one more attack die or something. ;P

My Fav ship would be the Tantive IV!!

The a wing would be amazing if it could barrel roll...

I'd love to see a's with barrel roll. I guess they didn't get them to help differentiate between them and the interceptors :(

Yeah that is probably why. The Interceptor is more manuverable so thats probably why it gets barrel roll.

Everything about the Interceptor is great except the cost. With only three hull points, they are the epitome of glass cannon.

Interestingly enough, the Shuttle article that was just posted uses an Omicron with Vader. That build is perfect for messing with Interceptors.

For me it's a tie between X-Wing and B-Wing. They're perfect as they are - wouldn't change a thing!

For me, it has to be the iconic X-Wing. No other ship represents Star Wars to me moreso than that one.

The YT-1300 might be a distant second, but that's only because you can field multiples. If you could only ever field one, then it might be on par with the X-Wing for me. The Falcon was such a unique ship in every since of the word. Now, I do get that if you fly two YT's, you're not flying two Falcons. But to me, when you do that, I see two Falcons, and that alone puts it a distant second.

The only thing I might add - and I say might loosely, as I feel the ship's pretty balanced as is - to the X-Wing would be the Evade action in it's Action Bar. Movie-wise it seemed they were able to evade much more so than the TIEs anyway, so...

A-wing with Tycho. Would like something to make Y-wing better.

B-Wing is by far my favorite ship. Tough, Has 3 attack dice, has cannons, system upgrades, it's just awesome all around, even has a good dial.

If I could change 1 thing.... well I'm not sure it needs anything specific. Here are some possibilities:

Add a Bomb slot.

More Pilots.

Give it 2 Agility - even if that increases the cost.

This one is very easy. Fav ship, is the Imperial Shuttle. What would I change about it ? I'd give it a rear fire arc, as it really bothers me it lacks one when even the model comes with a rear ball turret. For those who say Anti pursuit is the rear ball turret, it is a very poor representation of such. Especially when with the Shuttles dial, improved engines is so mandatory. Perhaps it wouldn't be if it did have a rear fire arc.

As well I'd add, tie advanced, also a cool ship. What would I change about it ? More selections of pilots and just a re tool as far as points or options go.

I'd say Squints, however I love them to death and actually rather like they are glass cannons, they are very intense dog fighters, you either fight all night, or explode on the first shot they draw down on you for.

Interceptor by a long shot. It's a really fun ship to fly until they are shot at.

Unfortunately, they don't hit as hard as lore would describe. They're supposed to be the glass cannon for the Imperial Navy. Only 3 attack dice doesn't exactly make a glass cannon. I mean, the X-Wing, B-Wing, Lambda Shuttle, Firespray and soon to be Defender and E-Wing all also have 3 attack dice. I would imagine that a glass cannon would be something more like 4+ attack dice, at least for the members of the 181st (Saber Squad, Turr, Fel, Fel's Wrath, and Stele). It seems like the interceptor should be able to quickly bust up a Y-Wing (like they did at the Battle of Brentaal IV). Fel would have one-shotted Salm had Wedge not distracted him (read about it here).

More cannon, as it's glassy enough.

I wahnt mah god Defender wifth 4-4-3-8 stats!!

Seriously though, I love the Squint right now, and would love for it to have had 4 attack dice.

Ether Defense Die or Systems Upgrades (Oh wait the E-Wing + Converting a hull to shield)

The Firespray. It looks cool, has some neat pilots and it flies almost like a big tanky tie fighter. The only thing I would love to see would be a system upgrade slot. Taking an action before crashing into other ships with a big base would be heavenly.

YT-1300. Han Solo flies it - enough said.

The change would be that it cannot modify its attack dice if firing out of arc.

I just want decals for my ships to show the rebel scum I have taken down with each.

I think the shuttle might be better with 4 attack and 0 evade. I mean in most games people just make the thing sit in place for a turn or eight with capt Jarr, and I can't see hitting the space cow that tough when it effectively was made to be a blocker.

And I would make a card upgrade call Fleet aka Cow hurdler which gives 1 add atk for each ship within range 1.

I already posted the hwk but my 2nd favorite has to be the A-wing. I've just always loved the looks of it. If I could change 1 thing it would be to either give all the a-wings a barrel roll or rear firing arc.

The a-wing. I'd make Tycho's ability suck less - like his A-wing has 4 agility dice since he's the best at flying one.

WHAT????? Tycho is the best Push the Limit Pilot in the game. Basically you just write off the K-turn and since you have engine upgrades and lots of hard turns its not a problem. Then you just take two actions all day long. Other than not being able to K-turn there is nothing stopping him from have 200 stress tokens! Tychos ability is one of the best in the game.

A-wings and Interceptors. Only change I would make would be to tournament scoring, eliminating the modified win would give the surgical devices they are a boost imo.
