Your favorite ship, why, and one change you would make to it.

Topic says it all what is your favoritve ship in the game and why is it so dear to you? Then if you could make 1 change to it what would it be?

Mine is the Hwk-290 for the simple reason that I absolutely loved dark forces 2 as a kid. Loved seeing the live action cut scenes with Kyle and Jan. I always try to include one in my lists just as an homage to my favorite eu characters and favorite star wars game.

If I had to change 1 thing it wouls probably be the dial, I want to be able to dogfight with it lol even though that 100% goes against it's role in the game. Granted a boost to primary attack wouldn't hurt either lol.

So that's mine! Please let me know yours.

I love the Firespray, but I think it's absolutely awful that the Falcon is more manueverable... I'd cut out the 4 speed manuevers in favor of having hard 1's. Big ships are too fast as is and the Falcon should be the fastest of them, but other than surviving an asteroid field(something the Slave has done as well, I see no reason it should be agile enough to outfly ties... Plus Fettigator would be amazing...

And a systems upgrade, as is lore-friendly. But jeez, that would be epic.

Interceptor. Soontir with PTL is amazing, and so is Turr Phenir with VI.

My complaints with having only 2 viable unique pilots will be solved in just a few days :)

Bombers.. I love em... wish they had a system upgrade (Mostly for Fire control system) though and a second bomb slot..

Interceptor. Soontir Fell with PTL and Stealth. All the foci really work great with a stealth unit.

I would love to have Target Lock to turn Fell into the perfect flanking predator.

Oh wait I do.

The a wing would be amazing if it could barrel roll...

I'd love to see a's with barrel roll. I guess they didn't get them to help differentiate between them and the interceptors :(

The Millennium Falcon. My favorite ship since childhood. I still have the small die cast metal one and the large plastic one since the 1980's.

I don't know what to change. The 1 evade dice is problematic, but it does balance it out since it has alot of shields and hull.

I mean you could always use the Expert Handling EPT for the A-Wing, sure you take a stress token but whatever.

The Y-wing. I'd like for Horton at least to be able to have a EPT naturally. But as for the ship itself I'd like for it to have a bomb slot.

The a-wing. I'd make Tycho's ability suck less - like his A-wing has 4 agility dice since he's the best at flying one.

For me it's a tie between X-Wing and B-Wing. They're perfect as they are - wouldn't change a thing!

Star Viper.

Why?

Looks awesome and, from what I've read, packs a punch. Not being bound to Rebels or Empire, it can be the start of a third faction with other pirates and fleets of smugglers, bounty hunters and general scum of the universe.

Changes I'd make?

FFG produce it, give it rules to match it's background, sell it and I live happily ever after.

Please FFG, make the Star Viper.

Y wing... Crew slot, bomb slot,weapon slot...

X-wing is my favorite because it is a fast work house and you can add astromechs.

I would change them to have system upgrade.

TIE Interceptor; they just look so cool and their manouverability is wonderful.

But I'd surely love to have some way to reroll those defence dices :)

Tie Advanced

It was the mystery Vader ship, then there was a specialty squadron that was elite. It basically was Interceptor or Defender before they existed.

Changes:

Tie Advanced only Mod for Boosted lasers. If any one played the Decipher ccg, you should recognize that.

The generic PS4 could have a EPT slot as another idea

I would like the cost to go down, but like Defenders, they were pricey.

Also, more pilots, but that is unrealistic with the canon shelflife it had.

Summary:

Give it a chance by giving it playability via cost mod or exclusive ship mod

Awings and Hwks.

Hwks could use another attack die.

A's could use a Sys Upgrade slot.

I would change the shuttle

I would love the shuttle to have a "drift" maneuver similar to a barrel roll, though you placed in the middle of the template only. I would also have given shuttles a small 40-50 degree rear firing arc as cannon upgrade. 3 Dice counts as a primary weapon.

i love the Tie Interceptors myself and the Regular Tie awesome units i dont like the idea of talking here about changes that doesnt fit and spoils alot flamers and give them a chance to shout out thier anger ;P

well we should just stick with ships we love and why we do love em.

X-wing and a-wing.

For x-wing I miss hard turns at speed 1, and low cost EPTs (e.g. an EPT on red squad pilots). Either of these changes might upset game balance though.

For a-wing there's nothing I'd change except i'd like to continue to see more ordance options and new pilots. Maybe I'd make it one point cheaper at PS levels.
