If you had to go with a single ship on a blind 1 v 1 battle...

By R22, in X-Wing

Blue, Adv Sensors = 25, though flying solo, there might be a better build

Ibtisam, PTL, HLC =41 points

For the Heavyweight class, still Han

If not Han, then perhaps Wedge.

If not Han, then perhaps Wedge.

Not sure how you'd load Wedge to go one on one against a loaded Han. Wedge has a hard time breaking 50 points while Han is easy enough to get over 66.

id pick carnor jax or even soontir fell both are awesome in 1v1 situations

and ppl no upgrades cant believe how many put thier thoughts with upgrades in it >.>

Fel isn't that great unupgraded IMO. He just gets a focus whenever he K-turns. Tur is a better choice unupgraded.

Luke.

Dude's pretty hard to kill.

Luke.

Dude's pretty hard to kill.

"Seriously" - Said every Sith and Stormtrooper ever everywhere.

Wedge Antilles.

Turr Phennir. I'm having a bit of a Bro-mance with this pilot/ship atm in my games.

Tantive IV with tiberian gas, quad lasers, and single turbo laser upgrade. See how your han solo feels about taking 5 attack value 4 attacks from beyond his max range.

More seriously, Fett with rebel captive, engine upgrade homing missiles, proton bomb, and push the limit.

Small ship, probably wedge with ptl or wes janson with veteran instincts

Horton + ion + R2D2 if you are keeping it to small bases.

Okay, Soontir Fel with Push the Limit, Stealth Device and target Lock for 35pts. Just got out of a game where he was alone against 2 Green pilots and Luke with R2D2 all three unscratched at the end and got out of it alive. I didn't have target lock since I still don't have the Ace pack, but it would have been nice to have it on multiple occasion. Granted, it was against a new player but still, it was so much fun to barrel Roll and Boost out of the way or into position. He's the definition of Troll.

Totally unfair to have the big ships in there, Han or Chewie, hands down, due to their abilities, sheer amount of HP/Shields and 360 shooting. Nothing else can compare. So skipping big stuff, lets go with the little guys. My money is on Turr Phennar. If he's going against a ship without 360, he should be able to smoke it. Even a higher PS ship, if his player is good. That said, you need a **** good pilot to use him against higher PS characters, and since this is "the best", you'll see a lot of 8s and 9s.

Nothing "unfair" about having the big ships in there. The call was for "1 on 1" and big ships are still just one ship. I believe the initial call also says "no upgrades" which goes and biases the challenge even more. This is why you also so point limits mentioned later. My categories for a single ship with upgrades are:

25 or less

33 or less

41 or less

over 41.
