Tira and Gloomy / Jolly Side

By aslum, in UFS Rules Q & A

I haven't seen the new rules, but I am wondering is there really any reason to include more then one of each in your deck (ignoring the actions' actual enhance). Is there some way to prevent the swapping?

Also can the Tira player choose what order to search zones in (FREX looking at momentum first, even if there's a Gloomy Side sitting on top of the discard?)

The reason you play multiple gloomy, jolly side is so that if you have to switch again (if you gained over your middle vitality and lost it back down) or if you use momentum there is always a good chance you can add the cards in question to momentum... or they could get checked off of your deck...

To stop the switching from happening you run cards like battle prowess to gain life before you have to switch in the first place.

Not exactly sure about that last 1

the ONLY reason to run more than 1 would be the lackluster action part.

No Matter WHERE on the table they are they will get attached, this includes: Deck, hand, momentum, card pool, discard pile, RFG, Staging area. if its attached to another card its still in a zone related to what card its attached to. the only possible way i can see the gloomy/jolly side not going to the character is if one is being played and is in the undescribed limbo between hand and card pool.

yes RFG is a zone according to some of the new rules antigoth posted.

Aurillia's (sp?) can prevent RFG'd sides from coming back.

Anything else beside Aurelia's Companionship?

Also, I'm not sure that Aurelia's C. actually stops it.

"F Remove this card from the game: Until the end of the game, whenever a player cycles their deck, they remove 5 cards from their deck instead of 10 and cards removed from the game may not be added to player's hands, card pools, staging areas, or momentum ."

Isn't the card being added to your staging area, or is there something I'm forgetting?

It's being attached to a card in the staging area, but does not count as being in the staging area. It's late, and I'm doing a bunch of last minute prep before heading out on the road. So I'm not sure if we'll have time to knock heads before next week. Sorry.

Nothing can stop the switch, so yes, in a literal sense you just have to run one of each.
