Ok, Color me curious. Sock Puppet?
Imperial Knight Titan
Look up. He just told the story.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Love it! Sounds like a team worthy of Eisenhorn's rapscallions. Just a quick question, CommissarWilliams: (Not trying to be insensitive with regard to languages or grammar-nazi-ing either). You indicated "semi-posed." Did you mean possessed? Just looking to clarify so I can laugh harder. The Dirty Dozen meets Ed the Sock, servant of Papa Nurgle.... *fit of apoplectic giggles*

yes you can laugh even harder now , my mistake, i was using my Ipad when typing that out.
Isn't the chainsword a little bit weak? I mean, it should rip a Carnifex in half with one strike but with 3D10+30 damage, it will never do this. Something like 40+6D10 would be better IMHO.
Also remember that boltguns make mincemeat out of unarmored ork nobs but in an RPG it may take a few rounds to do so, much like chopping up a carny
Boltguns are amazing
Edited by CommissarWilliamsBoltguns actually take a few rounds (attacks) to kill a nob in TT; it takes 4 boltgun hits to statistically eliminate a nob.

Unless you do called shot to head.

Even then you aren't guaranteed if they are wearing 'Eavy Armor, not to mention that toughness negating your pen.

I meant in TT. Boltguns have a 50% to put a wound on a Nob, and Nobs have 2 wounds. So a minimum of 2 hits, average of 4 hits.
In OW, to kill a naked Nob from EotE with a boltgun, all shots hitting the head, it takes a mimimum of (does quick math)
First hit: 15 - TB 9 = 6, wounds go to 19
Second hit 15 TB 9 = 6, wounds go to 13
Third hit .... wounds go to 7
Fourth hit,,,, wounds go to 1
Fifth hit ... wounds would go to -5, but True Grit drops this to -1
Each subsequent hit that does max damage will increase the critical effect by 1 (because 15 - TB9 = 6, then True Grit reduces this to 1)
I don't have the book with me, but I think death sets in at -6 with X damage to the head.
So it takes a minimum of 10 boltgun shots to the head to kill a naked nob , assuming that all do max damage (very very unlikely; it's probably more like 15) and assuming that Blood Loss doesn't kick in somewhere. And assuming no talents like Mighty Shot. He's very likely to be unconscious by that point though from accruing Fatigue.
Orks are very hard to kill in WH40KRPG. They are not intended to be used as mooks that fall over left and right. They're intended to charge through volleys of gunfire, survive it, and procede to kill whoever was shooting at them with an axe, and they have the statistics and talents to allow them to do this.
