From what I can gather, every single X-Wing release has been delayed in the UK despite being available everywhere else. The OP seems to believe that Esdevium is failing to deliver an optimal service as a distributor and so seems to suggest it is time for a changing of the guard.
The sad but true reality is that it isn't as simple as FFG just wanting to change, most likely they have a contract that lasts for a time, deals etc. Such things can't just be changed on the fly.
well don't know of a release date over hear for aces but also we are banned from using repaints in the nationals over here

You need to print the official FFG tournament rules which specifically allow repaints, as long as they are not offensive, and have a discussion with the TO. Modifications are not allowed, but repaints are. Carbon copy FFG on all correspondence, because FFG has said it is ok.

I'm assuming he's bitter because he can't just draw dicks on his shuttle. If he can't do that, no one is allowed to have fun.

Re-paints and Aces legality are 2 separate issues.
Any pilots or upgrades exclusive to the Imperial Aces are not legal for tournament play because those components are not covered under the most recent tournament rules published by FFG. Currently only ships/upgrades released through Wave 3 are legal until the tournament rules are updated to specifically include everything from Aces.
Using one of the Interceptor models from the Imperial Aces as a proxy should be legal for use in tournament play based upon the re-paint ruling from FFG that allows the customization of ships so long as they are not offensive, the ship is still recognizable and that your base is not altered.
If you are running say 4 Saber Squadrons, 2 from the original expansions and 2 w/ your Aces models it shouldn't be an issue so long as every pilot and upgrade card were not exclusive to the Aces pack and had been previously released.
If a TO was to prohibit a model that would be quite disappointing in this scenario.

So if there isn't a TO, who the heck is making that ruling? Someone must be, and that someone is who you should be talking to about repaints and FFG explicitly calling them legal and encouraging them!
That doesn't make sense. The rulebook specifically says repaints are fine. I think as long as you have all the other parts of the ship expansion (dials and such, mainly) there should be no problem with painted ships. Having the rest proves that you actually bought the thing, so...
