Was wondering weather anyone could give me an idea or just help me out here. I have an idea for my next game and I've been looking and making some ship stats for ships from the Clone wars, since they are still around just in odd ball places.

Was wondering how or if possible to make a stat for a composite beam turret? (The ball turrets on the LAAT/i)

Just wondering what some seasoned GM's think of it, I've gotten most of the ship stated out just can't figure out what to do with the ball turrets.

Any help is appreciated.

From memory they are only ever really used (in the movies) as an anti-personnel weapon, hitting multiple targets at once and are highly accurate. Add accurate 1 to a heavy repeating blaster maybe with the cool factor of it being a single continuous beam rather than a whole lot of shots?

Looks bigger than that. Maybe use the stats for a heavy repeating blaster?

HRB, autofire only... Saw a presentation by ILM at a conference the year AotC came out and they showed unused camera angles of that scene, they are horribly destructive against infantry, the final edit doesn't do them justice... It was actually a little horrifying...

Thanks for the ideas everyone, I'm going to figure something out. Might do use the HRB with a few added attachments, or dumb down a ship weapon. Going to play with it for a bit.

Carful with vehicle scale weapons against infantry, it can get ugly fast.

Was looking at the book, what would you say if taking the Light turbo laser and modify it to look like this

(Modified) Light turbo laser- Range: Short Damage:8 Qualities: Breach 1, Slow-Firing 1

I think that's way powerful, like it wouldn't need the other guns and missiles powerful... And the slow firing is counter to the films.

Take a look at auto fire weapons like the heavy repeater, or the autoblaster if you want to go vehicle scale. The special effects of auto fire allow you to do things like hit multiple targets with a single attack roll, which fits the beam concept well.

I think you also need to ask other important questions like the speed and silhouette of the vehicle. If you aren't thinking about those when considering weapons, you're gonna have trouble down the road.

If it were me, I'd try the heavy repeater for the beam weapons, linked blaster cannons for the chin gun, and concussion missile launchers for the missile launchers at sil 3 and speed 3 (maybe 4 but prolly 3), with armor 1 handling 0ish, and hull and strain around 5 or 6

The three things that I find weird are

Why the change to the damage of the repeating blasters?

EDIT: Ignore, i checked DC and 10 looks fine

Why an HP of 10? Airspeeders, skyhoppers, and cloud cars all have about half that,and are comparable vehicles.

You may want to polish the passengers, encumbrance, and carried craft. Check out the personnel carrier and see how the enc and passenger numbers change. You might want to do something like that (also 350 feels high)

Thanks for the advice ghost, Made the few changes to the stats.

I upped the health on the ship after looking at a couple shuttles that were similar.
