After a lot of feedback from previous players and many editorial passes, here is the latest version. My thanks to those that played in the v2.0 campaign. At some point in the next couple weeks, I plan to start its successor and will announce on Team Covenant when I do. Feedback is appreciated.
Galactic Civil War Campaign Rules 3.0
For those that just want the Cliff Notes version, these rules add 4 big things:
Asset Management
: Your ships, pilot and equipment are persistent, and your resources to buy them are limited. Now it matters how much you lose in battle. If you are at a disadvantage, do you cut and run or gamble on a turnaround?
Pilot Improvement
: Pilots gain XP from combat, which can be used to purchase various improvements. Some no-name rookie can rise through the ranks to become one of your elite fliers.
Strategic Considerations
: You are fighting over important locations of varying value and benefits. Where and when do you deploy your limited resources?
Capital Ship Assaults
: To defeat your enemy, you must locate and destroy his capital ships.
Load the bombers and punch a hole through the fighter screen.
