On March 15th at 12PM, Empire Games is hosting its 2014 X-Wing Miniatures Store Championship, a premiere Organized Play event planned to feature an awesome assortment of players and prizes!

Entry Fee is $5. Location: 1766 S Greenfield rd #102 , Mesa, Arizona 85206

The first 32 participants in attendance will receive an exclusive alternative art Ten Nunb B-Wing Pilot card.

PRIZE SUPPORT:

• Champion: Golden X-Wing Miniatures trophy, Store Championship Plaque, Card Box, Custom X-Wing Acrylic Range Ruler, & First Place Certificate worth a first round bye at one 2014 Regional Championship
• Runner-Up: Silver X-Wing Miniatures trophy, Card Box, Custom X-Wing Acrylic Range Ruler
• Third Place: Bronze X-Wing Miniatures trophy, Custom X-Wing Acrylic Range Ruler
• Top Four: Custom X-Wing Acrylic Range Ruler

• Best Ship Custom Paint Job: $10 in Empire Games store credit going to the best custom paint job on an X-Wing Miniatures ship at the store championship. You don't HAVE to fly it in your squad, but the judges will look favorably on it if you do.
• Best Costume/Best Dressed: A custom X-Wing Miniatures paint job of your choice by Jimmy from Empire Games
• The "Academy Pilot" Award (a.k.a. last place): New dice and a "mulligan" voucher good for free admittance to a future X-Wing Tournament at Empire Games
• The "Fly Casual" Sportsmanship Prize: a set of the six issue Star Wars: Dark Empire comics from the early 1990’s

• Door Prize: One random player will win $20 in store credit

• Additional prize support based on the quantity of players in attendance

TOURNAMENT RULES:

Standard FFG X-Wing Miniatures Tournament Rules will apply. The rounds will be 75 minutes in duration, following the Swiss-style pairings format. The number of rounds will be based on number of players participating (either 3 or 4) – if more than 17 players participate, there will be three qualifying rounds followed by a cut to the top four.

Squads should consist of a maximum of 100 points. Squad sheets will be required prior to beginning the tournament. A copy of tournament rules along with squad sheets can be located on the FFG Organized Play website, and will also be available the day of the event at Empire Games.
