Modified Win?

By Bayard91, in X-Wing Organized Play

So in the tournament rules, there is a Match Win for 5 points, Modified Match Win for 3 points, a Draw for 1 and Loss for 0.

What does Modified Match Win mean exactly?

You kill somewhere between 1 and 32 points more than your opponent kills, without killing all of his ships. At 33 points, you get a full win. At 0 points you get a draw. At less points, you get a loss.

Is that only when the game goes to time or is it even if the game finishes before time?

If you both still have ships on the board and time hasn't run out, the game isn't finished. :)

Yes I agree. So does the modified scoring come into play only when the game goes to time? Or does it also apply if the game finishes before time is called? If I kill all of my oponents ships (game over before time) and I have an academy tie left I don't win by 33 points. Is that a full win or a modified win?

*** edit I see the error in my logic
