Untouchables

I’m going to post this here and in the ‘House Rules’ section.

I’ve been looking through my books and other than one paragraph on page 160 of the Core Rulebook I can’t find any info on ‘Untouchables’. So if I just missed it please point me in the right direction. Until then this is what my group and I have come up with for a House Rule Version.

UNTOUCHABLE: Is a trait that can be picked up by any of the careers at rank 1(except Psykers of course). It’s free and your ‘Untouchable Rank’ will increase for free at ranks 2,4,6,7,8.
Unlike a psyker who buys Psy-ratings (to show practice and training) the untouchable gets theirs for free because they have no control over it.
Being an Untouchable means to be a psychic blank. So the psychic ‘Null’ field you generate will grow as you grow in power.
The null-field centers on you and spreads out in every direction a number of meters as follows……..
Untouchable Rank 1: Null-Field= 1 + Wil. Bonus in meters
Untouchable Rank 2: Null-Field= 2 + Wil. Bonus in meters
Untouchable Rank 3: Null-Field= 3 + Wil. Bonus in meters
Untouchable Rank 4: Null-Field= 4 + Wil. Bonus in meters
Untouchable Rank 5: Null-Field= 5 + Wil. Bonus in meters
Untouchable Rank 6: Null-Field= 6 + Wil. Bonus in meters

Inside this area of affect no psychic of equal or lower psy-rating will be able to use psychic powers and those that are of a higher rating will only have a 50% chance of working.

[Example: If you have Untouchable rank 4, then no psyker with psy-rating 1-4 will be able to function in your null-field. Psykers of psy-rating 5-6 will only have a 50% chance of their powers working.

It is in creature anathema...

Didn't notice Untouchables in CA but then again haven't had time to really sit down and go through whole book yet.

I know Untouchable rules (including rules for untouchable PCs) are definately in Disciples of the Dark Gods near the beginning of the Hereticus chapter.

I'm fairly pleased with these rules as they are other than 1 minor tweak (instead of half Fel characteristic w/ additional -10 w/ psykers, I go with -10 to Fel characteristic, halved when dealing w/ psykers b/c it makes more sense and fits examples in the source material better to me)

oops, I meant DotDG...

Ahh.... Now I see it. Can't believe I missed that.

I prefer the version as is for balance reasons - complete immunity from psy powers is ridiculously powerful and not given to anything else playable in the system. That deserves some serious drawbacks.
