Props

Lots of Holocrons. Kind of made me think I want to see if I can't come up with something to use one as a kind of dais, or pedestal or what have you, to put the Destiny Tokens on during the session.

That sounds pretty neat. If you want to make your own glowing Holocron this is the video I built mine off of.

The only other thing I added was I took an old computer keyboard and took out the circuit paper and cut it up. I then used clear Elmers glue and glued the pieces on the inside and outside. I think it really gave it a cool look.

This is my favorite new thing today............so simple it hurts.

It's insanely simple, and it's really cheap too. I think I spent 20 bucks tops on getting the stuff I needed. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it looks in person. It took me about a day and a half to finish only because I had to let the paint and glue dry.

Here are some Trin Sticks I made a long time ago. I seemed to have lost them in the move from California to Germany. :(

These were made from wooden skewer sticks. And took a LOT longer than I had thought they would have. I might try to find some aluminum rods and make some new ones.

The rules for the game came from D20 RCR Galactic Campaign Guide.

That. Is. Astounding.

Curious the kinds of props and ideas others have successfully incorporated into their games.

Many, many years ago, I wound up with a whole bunch of fake money that a local sci-fi convention used at a casino night. I hit upon a cool idea of instead of writing credits on a sheet, the players would use real Space Bucks for all their transactions. Everything when swimmingly the first night until I realized that my math skills sucked while GMing and one of the players got short changed on a big purchase.

However, he didn't realize that he was short 10,000 Space Bucks until well after leaving the shop. He came roaring back in, fit to be tied . . . and the merchant was nowhere to be seen. I of course played it off like part of the story - something I planned to do - when really it was just a GM mistake.

Mind you, that would make a great despair roll someday in the future. I must remember that. . . .

That's pretty cool. I don't know why I haven't thought of it before. It seems that having the players keep track of physical money would help beef up the roleplaying, at least in some cases (for some reason bribes come to mind).

Finally got Tumblr to work for me. I've been messing around with pimpmygun.com , fun little web app for doing this sort of thing.

I use some handouts. I now do a "Newstack" handout that has some humor, color, and forshadowing. Kind of like a tabloid

25.02 “Oink” is a deadly insult in Gamorrese; Moff Balfour inadvertently starts clan war. DataPage 19928

31.32 Minos bounty hunter “Iceman” is actually a droid, that looks like a human. Which explains his lack of humor. Datapage 23588

31.41 Retraction: The editors would like to apologize to Iceman for the above item. Ask him to please stop hurting our reporters and that yes slapstick is a form of humor. Datapage 23589

35.87 New cult on Pergitor follows new harsher doctrinal laws where they cannot use Autochefs, just learned how to boil water and enjoy their sweet nourishing gruel. Datapage 24550

36.95 Imperial Admiral mutters insults behind Lord Vader’s back; is demoted to corpse almost instantly. “That Vader, he kills us” says Imperial Personnel officers. Datapage 25964

37.63 Rebel special operations team foils Imperial ship building facility for trying to make C-wings, Z-wings, and Q-wings and pass themselves off as rebels. Datapage 26932

39.92 Pirates have been kidnapping Kari claiming their powdered Exoskeletons can be used as aphrodisiac. The Kari say “We put everything in the night. “ Datapage 27623

40.25 Technotes Volume 17: The sorosub RIP-17 Autochef series can be modified to produce:

  3. detonite (which the autochef claims as food)

40.34 Jabba the Hutt to start fast food chain, named 'Rancor's Nibblepit' Debt defaulters are encourage to help supply primary ingredients to daily specials to help pay their debts to Jabba. Datapage 29117

ok. 2P51, those are pretty cool.

Neat app. Addictive.

Oooh! Can I try??

This is a blaster pistol I came up with.

Blaster-Pistol-c1.jpg

Very neat app. :)

I've been tinkering all day.

I can see that this could be a real time waster... but at the same time, great for doing some weapon illustrations.

blastercarbine1.jpg

I think if I get a chance, I may try and replicate a weapon or two known Star Wars blaster weapons.

Here's my shot at an E-11... probably the carbine. I did a rifle stock one based on this, but I'm not as happy with it...

Hm. We could build up a library of these perhaps for Oggdude's resource...
