As many know, Fel is a beast and a lot of fun to fly, so I've been trying to come up with a list that uses him to best effect. I feel he works best as a flanker, but needs a solid main force to take the brunt of the enemy's guns.

So far, I have 2 ideas I'm not sure which would work better, so just wondering what others think about these, and other possible ideas I may not have considered.

List #1:

Soontir Fel w/ PtL & Stealth

Howlrunner w/ Swarm & Shield

Mauler Mithel w/ Swarm

Academy Pilots x 2

List #2:

Soontir Fel w/ PtL & Stealth

Howlrunner w/ Swarm & Stealth

BSP w/ DtF & Shield

Academy Pilots x 2

So one question I am unsure about is whether 4 TIEs is enough to constitute a 'main force'?

In the first list, I am relying on high PS to hopefully take out an enemy ship to help reduce incoming fire. The second list gives up some Piloting Skill in exchange for slight increase in durability.

That is one of my concerns too. Also, because this list is a bit low on firepower, I'd be concerned that the opponent will just focus on Fel....makes me worried about flanking with him. Have you or anyone else running this list flanked Fel?
