Does this attack trigger immediately off itself if it deals damage?

Since the conditional trigger for the vitality loss happens UPON dealing damage (it says "if this attack deals damage", not "after this attack deals damage", and the vitality loss itself happens AFTER dealing damage, would this enhance work for this attack as well?
