I doubt it. it seems like another version of the Kessel run tournament that previewed wave 2, that took place about 4 months before as I recall.
Still should be exciting, at least for those lucky folks with active game shops near them.
I just started x-wing in Dec and can't get enough of this game. I hope it's June and not sept.

Nope, it was 2 1/2 months. Kessel Run was in mid-December, Wave 2 was released in late February.
I get the feeling that Wave 4 will be released officially in late July or early August. Mayyybe even at GenCon.

If there's an early release in June, then I'd definitely anticipate the full release at GenCon. Hopefully they can manage whatever release comes after that by the holidays… five months should do it, right?
I do like that the prize is something that nobody else has. But unlike the Attack Wing loaded die, eventually everyone will be able to get the new ships. So, 2 - 4 months of bragging rights for the winners before no one cares any more...
