Just about to start a game to prove a point. My opponent did not know that I intended to only bring 3 ships into the match. Furthermore, before the match began, he asked if we could play without asteroids. This further hurts my chances, but I agreed. Here are the lists:

I hope you're wrong Egudmunson. lol I'm upset I'm not getting a round one shot though.

Too many points spent on the Bomber and Shuttle, and while I understand why other people run Engine Upgrade on Vader, it's not to my personal taste.

On the other hand, the Rebel list is good but not great; the A-wing will struggle to develop a meaningful offense, Garven is too much of a target, and without him the ships aren't supporting one another. Without knowing anything concrete about your respective skill levels, I'd say the odds are about 3:2 against you; decent rolls (particularly with the missiles) could easily put you over the top, but you'll definitely need things to break in your favor.

Garevn and the B-wing are the two I would be most worried about. Try and keep the A-wing from getting range 1 and you should be fine (I run A-wings all the time, outside of range 1 they're not too scary).

All is decided on the alpha strike.

If imperials manage to take out a key target, they might a have chance. If not, they'll lose the bomber, and game over for them.

Imperials have an uphill battle here.

I'll bet your Bomber will be destroyed with 1 or 2 missiles/torps still on it.

The Shuttle will be next - just because its so easy to destroy it.

Vader will be the last.
