R3-F2 question

By negative9, in X-Wing

So to give a stress, your opponent must be in your arc.

How does this work if you have an ion turret?

can he be in your secondary arc?

If so...you could put this little droid on any y-wing and ion and stress a ship in the same attack pretty easy. How strong would that be? Y-wing would be awesome i think.

I believe the general rule of thumb when firing arc is used it is meaning the arc printed on your ship's base. In that case, the Y-Wing would have the same arc as the X-Wing or any other small based ship.

It doesn't say primary weapon arc, so it could well be possible for it to be in any direction in the case of a turret. However I would probably wait for an FaQ on that and play it that they have to be in my primary weapon arc up until FFG says otherwise.

Except for the firespray, the only firing arcs in the game are the 90 degree forward facing ones. Turrets don't give you a 360 degree arc, they allow you to shoot outside of your arc. Same with the falcon.

I have this problem when Backstabber is shooting at Han.

Hopefully Han is the one with the problem in that situation.

Read what turret weapons do, they all say allow to fire outside of the ships' firing arc. There is no issue here, just read the rules on the weapons and it should clear it up. :D

Turrets (or the falcon) don't give you a 360ยบ firing arc... They allow you to fire OUTSIDE your firing arc, but your firing arc is still there, shiny and pretty.

No ship with secondary firing arc arc can equip astromech units, so no need to open than can.

^ This. The text on the Ion Cannon Turret reads " Attack: Attack 1 ship (even a ship outside your firing arc)."

thanks for the clarification....I guess I should read the cards better before I get excited.
