I was working out my campaign, and I realized my current crew is pretty well set for shipjacking. The next adventure may either end with them wanting to shipjack for the following adventure, or if not, I'd like to have it be the McGuffin/plot focus of another adventure down the road.
I'm having trouble coming up with good ways/checks to locate and select a target and was hoping for some group brainstorming assistance.
Off the top I'm going with:
Streetwise: "Hey who's in town and what is their ship like?"
Computers: "Space traffic control has the following ships on file, and their BoSS info says..."
Charm?: "Hey there sexy bureaucrat... any chance you can slip me info on any neato ships in town?"
Deception: "Oh yeah, I'm totally an undercover sector ranger looking for a dangerous pirate...I'll just.. umm... mail you that warrant later, but I really need the info now"
Any other ideas/suggestions?
I just want to have plenty of options on hand for thinking advantage/threat resolution, and if needed, prodding the players if they can't think of anything other then just breaking into the nearest bay and hoping it's not a worthless durasteel turkey inside.
