I am really considering quitting UFS right now...
This has bugged me all week long since tuesday... that evening simply broke everythings.
I'm tired of trying to find ways to beat those who only try to break the game to win...
Sir Shajir's Deck in Montreal's Regional just gave me nightmares 3 days after...
And now this... Can Nats 2009 is one month away i learn that because the software is poorly designed i'll get screwded... hell no...
i have a story to share with you
before the potm weekend begins, i am playing in the weekly event at Kryptonite in j-ville, WI.
i'm going to give you the records of the 2 people that are affected:
myself- round 1 win (2,0) round 2 win (2,1,) round 3 win (1,0)
dani- round 1 win (2,0) round 2 loss (1,2 i won) round 3 bye (2,0)
now, winners are announced, and take a wild guess who won?
that's right, Dani over Omar. a 2-1 beat a 3-0. she got 1st, and i got second.
HERE IS THE REASON THIS HAPPENS:
when entering the results for the rounds, people are using numbers. so, by the end of the event, the program had a total of 5 entered for me, and 5 entered for dani. then program then lists everyone by point totals... alphabetically. the next tiebreak was our names, instead of the fact that even with "5" points apiece, i should win because i met her in the rounds and beat her.
HERE IS HOW TO RECORD EVENT ROUNDS SO THAT THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN:
after speaking with james and another of the ffg staff, i learned that the way to enter the round results is as follows-
use the letters "W" "L" and "B" to record win/loss/bye in the field
do NOT use the numbers "0" "1" and "2"
the system was used this weekend with no hitches.
[btw she got revenge sunday and beat up my nightmare with zi mei in the sealed event
]
Aight. We'll try this at the tournament tomorrow.
Glad my name's Al. lol

your name is ALEXIS *snicker*
Just to add to GouHado's comments.
Draws are added into the new system with "T" this reports the match as a tie and awards 1 point to each player.
hope that helps

Well, we couldn't really test it out tonight.
Because OP won the freaking thing.
I must be the only person in the world to read instruction manuals, help files and such. *sigh*
It does suck that the new software doesn't differentiate between a 2-1 win and a 2-0 win (or a 1-0 for that matter).
