Still new to the game quick question about winter / summer .

When you start the game is there a default season the game starts on or does the season come into play via an event ?

"It is Summer." and "It is Winter." are produced by card effects. If there are no cards that state which season it currently is, then it is no season .

The below cards are cards that can currently make it Summer or Winter.

(if anyone sees anything that is missing, feel free to post)

There is no event card that can make it Summer or Winter. Right now a season originates from one of these cards that are currently in play.

There need to be non raven ways to change the season to winter/summer, just my opinion

Take a better look at the picture, only 2 of the cards are Raven .

Well, the fact that they exist but "never see play" kind of argues against the need for non-raven ways to change the season, doesn't it? If you want it to be a particular season, it's hard to get much more reliable, stable, or efficient than the ravens.

In my experience, if someone wants non-raven ways to change the season, it isn't because they are having trouble making it the season they want it to be, but rather because they want to deprive an opponent of the season they have made it and don't know what to do about the near-invincibility of the raven. "Just saying."
