9littlebees Unofficial Bestiary

By 9littlebees, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Thanks Robert, but that resource is only of the published creatures.

Correct. I’ve helped the author a little with the information in that system, and my impression is that we’re being very careful about how much information we provide, and exactly how it is worded. We’re also being very careful about the images that we link to.

We want this resource to remain online for a long time, and actively try to avoid stepping on any toes when it comes to infringement of Intellectual Property laws.

This community bestiary is seeking to add additional creatures, so that GM's can choose from quite an exotic list. Key to this is having illustrations of each creature, so that GM's can show their players what they are up against, something the official bestiary doesn't always do.

I also support this idea wholeheartedly. The community needs both kinds of resources, and I am very happy to see someone taking on this project.

Thanks!

That is really cool. Sorry I had no idea. :-( Thank you for putting together this list.

No need to apologise. :)

After your brilliant cards i'll gladly follow that project :)

Thanks very much! :D

I do like the resource you worked on and how you've avoided provided all stats to prevent possible IP infringement. That's why I've made the effort to find someone to provide new illustrations specifically for this purpose. Rinter is really an amazing find!

Thank you, glad you agree!

Here are the final creatures to be added to the bestiary - most of these are quite recognisable!

[EDIT] Having issues with uploading the images directly, so here they are in a Dropbox photo album.

Now that Rinter has finished the art for the project, he has put up a poster featuring all of these creatures on his DeviantArt page.

Check it out and give it a favourite if you have an account there:

What's awesome is that Michael Vilardi, one of the creature designers from Creatures of the Galaxy also commented on that DeviantArt post! (He originally designed the yeomet, wrix, tymp, ranphyx, qormot, quamin and onahk from that batch I believe.)

No Kowakian Monkey-Lizard or Woolamander... Disappointed. Anyone has a suggestion for a creature from the list to fit the profile, of a small-medium primate, or "Simian" like Wookieepedia says it (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Monkey).

Loving this thread! thanks everyone!

For some reason I cant see the jpg. you linked.. would love to use them.

Any ideas why its not working? I just get a spinning circle.

Cheers!

I've written up about 40 or so creatures for a campaign about living on a colony world and essentially surviving the colony and figuring out a ship and so on to move off. Anyway, the world was a tropical world with many different kinds of environment types and creatures to go along with them. Out of the 40, I made up a good portion of them, but I also used creatures from the Star Wars universe. If you want my take on either side, just let me know!

Not sure what happened there, but I've edited post #29 with a link to the Dropbox photo album where all 29 images are stored. I'll try to upload and relink from another source when I've got more time.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I wish that FFG would release something like this (It will satisfy the D&D GM in me as a Monster Manual, generic brain storming of ideas). I notice that the list doesn't contain anything from Age or Force. Is this still being updated or kinda put off to the side now?

Sadly, it's been put to the side - my Star Wars group disbanded and my GMing energies are focused on my upcoming Shadow of the Demon Lord campaign. That said, the link is still live, and it's a collaborative project anyway, so feel free to use and add to the spreadsheet!

Greetings,

I've been surfing the web about the Rathatar.

And I found this place so I wonder if there are any plans to include the Rathatar within the Unofficial Beastiary, that could be used with EoT or AoR or FaD?

or if there are someone that could be nice enough to guide me to one already existing?

Kind Regards
Eigel

There are stats for the rathtars in The Force Awakens Beginner Game rulebook.

Two beasts I wouldn't mind seeing FFG stats for are Hssiss and Terentateks.
