I am sure this has been asked but anyone know when the Scoundral expansion will be coming out? Or have speculation as to what will be in it for us Pilots?
Scoundral Book
No announcements on Smuggler yet. Lots of threads about the additional career books. The top of the page has an "upcoming" link that takes to you to FFG's products in the various stages of dev and release. So far all there is waiting is AoR books and the Jewel of Yavin.
Definitely looking fwd to JoY..That should be a fun adventure since in my group w/ have a Pilot (Me) and a Driver
Basically, no new EotE books as far as we know until AoR and the beginner box/GM screen(not announced but very likely, even if its just alt art) are released.
I know they haven't really done this for Dangerous Covenants, but they did release Enter the Unknown and Beyond the Rim at similar times and both were clearly exploration based books. Could the release of Jewel of Yavin be an indicator that the smuggler book is up next? It certainly would make sense to release adventures related to the career books at similar times as they both serve as complements and could potentially capture both GMs and players in a party, whereas a group could just split a career book.
I'm guessing we're do for a new release announcement any time, but as of now there's been nothing beyond Age of Rebellion and Jewel of Yavin.
I always like reading the annoucements and developer diaries for the new books but would like see more content before aor is released
I get a feeling that FFG's focus is going to now be on Age of Rebellion, as that's the "new hotness" this year, with the Force & Destiny Beta being not too far behind.
We'll probably start seeing previews and announcements for upcoming EotE material once those items are out the door.
I wouldn't be surprised to see another sector source book out soon. My money is on Hutt Space. If they did not other source book for EotE, that one would be the one they should do.
A Hutt Space Sourcebook (or at least a Nal Hutta/Nar Shaddaa Sourcebook) seems like a shoe-in for EotE. I'd really love to see a book (possibly an Adventure Module) that fleshes out Ord Mantell as well.
We need a Scoundral book more than any other book in my mind so FFG can give us more details on ship combat.
Privateer (Pirate is so ugly)- Combat and Leadership fusion?
Gambler - Cool and Deception based with talents from the trader like Smooth Talker and Nobody's Fool?
Informant - Stealth Knowledge and Trading skills/talents?
First Mate - Gunner Mechanic fusion?
Dealer - Medicine and Skulduggery?
Courier - Stealth & computers w/ Brawl/Melee?
Edited by 2P51Gunslinger is a pretty easy one, swap some Scoundrel stuff for things like Second Wind, Dynamic Fire for the dual wielding, maybe Dodge instead of Side Step, a rank of Deadly Accuracy, maybe a rank of Uncanny Reflexes/Senses.
How about Daredevil instead of Starhopper?
You said Politco and Pilot so I took that to mean a flying show off type, barn stormer, etc. Social skill meets pilot.
Yah, sounds good, just thought Daredevil was a cool sounding name. Blue Angles and Evil Knievel meet Star Wars.

Love the Privateer and Gambler ideas...throw in Gunslinger and I think you've got a winning combination in my eyes! ![]()
As described, the Privateer doesn't really sound all that different from the Mercenary Soldier.
Because of the 'devil' word, daredevil would either impose or presuppose a Star Wars equivalent to such a figure, and might even be an unwelcome imposition of the notion given its relation to christian mythology. Space Jockey might be a better term, or Stunt Pilot for a concept based on maneuvering a vessel. For FFG, I imagine the Star Wars franchise represents a unique challenge in maintaining a game whose terminology has to be universal and therefor specifically non-religious when it comes to actual Earth religions.
In other words, think of politically correct names.
Not to pile on, but this comes from Wookieepedia's entry on Devaronians:
Many species felt uncomfortable in their presence, for they resembled the devils of a thousand different myths[2].
"Your tauntaun will freeze!"
"Then I'll see you in Hell!"
Dual wielding specialist better be in Smuggler or Bounty Hunter that's all I got to say.

It's kind of in the universal recruit tree with Dynamic Fire, although there probably are ways too improve it a bit more.
Potential smuggler jobs that I see:
Gunslinger - Maybe a dual wielding or quick draw specialist?
Mastermind - Crime-based leader
Vagrant - Survivalist rogue
Fringe doctor - Like an Outlaw Tech... except with organs, illegal gene splices, etc.
Spy?
Starhopper - Half-politico, half-pilot
Racer - Bonuses to maneuvering in space or on the ground, not so much firepower as Pilot
For Gunslinger, I think just a Tree would do for that (If that is what you are going for) because my PC is a Pilot that runs around w/ 2 Blasters (Kinda like Kevin Costner in Silverado or Val Kilmer in Tombstone) "I have 2 Guns, 1 for each of ya"
And I am a Kickass pilot. So having a Tree that will maximize my Blaster skills would be very nice!
