On Saturday I played a local store tournament. It was my first time playing Star Wars more then just moving around ships and reading forums. This is what I ran,
Shuttle with engi and adv sen. (28)
Turr with PTL, Shield (32)
3 Ob Ties (36)
So the first round was a total loss but I took out 56 points it was more of a learning game. We ran rebel stuff I can't remember past that. I was more focused on asking questions and such.
2nd round was vs three x-wings . Turr took a turn off the board and I was left with a 1 hp shuttle taking on Luke with an R2D2 I took out 52 points, but had a total loss.
Round 3 I got my barring and played against Interceptors. What is crazy is my ps3 going before interceptors. I felt in control for the first all night. Best shot of the night was, a roll at range 3 through an asteroid at an interceptor, with a stealth dev, I rolled a hit and crit. He rolled 5 blanks and 1 focus without any tokens. I yelled so loud it stopped everything I killed his Turr in a crazy shot. (He had taken an asteroid damage during moving) I lost two ties, he lost everything. (26-100)
Round 4 was Two X-wings, One Y wing and 1 Hwk. I lined the right side of the map with the shuttle hugging the board, the my ties were next to it. Turr started on the far left side. I moved everything forward and Turr flanked so well. By the time we got to shots it seemed that everyone was range one of each other. I lost my shuttle on the opening fire but I destroyed everything of his everything leaving the Y. It was finished off on the next round. (29-100)
Ending in 7 of 14. So not to bad in all.
I learned two important lessons first everyone goes for the shuttle, and the shuttle is very good at blocking . I think I stopped Luke three rounds from moving past it and with the eng upgrade it moved so fast.
So a big thanks to all the people I have bugged over the last month. (The podcast guys- Mr froggy and the oter two peoples and so many more my brain is not work today)
