Thisw is my plan for store champ list at the moment

3 scim squad bombers with seismic charges.

AND

Krassis Trelix

+Seismic

+ anti pursuit lasers

+ ion canon

+ saboteur

The plan is not really to use the bombs but to use the threat of them to make the other player spread out his ships and keep his distance to avoid my saboteur, bombs and APL

Togeather with a little ion, I hope to force his moves and keep controll of the game

If you're married to this squad, then you should keep the bombers close to Krassis, and use the ion cannon to keep the enemy flying straight at you. make them bump, Krassis, they may take some damage, and then dump ALL bombs, K-turn the Bombers only, and blast from the back as they fall on the mines.

However, if you like Krassis, I would try this out. I play in a league and it has performed well for me and others:

Use the Swarmlet to attack early then block, and blast away with the HLC. Krassis will do heavy damage AND live longer due to his ability to focus on attacks and defenses. If there is a large collision, make sure Krassis always hits your TIE fighters, not the enemy, so he can still fire his primary weapon with a reroll from Howlrunner. Also helps to keep them close as much as possible in case Krassis has to fire backwards.

I ran a similar squad once upon a time.

Kath + EH + Intel Agent + Seismic

Intel REALLY makes your opponents think twice about k turning behind the bombers, usually forcing them to turn aside when they have lined up on you.

And EH, so your opponents will think twice about turning towards Kath instead of taking the more predictable Bomber target.

I'd scratch the APL, Ion Cannon, and Seismic on Krassis for a Heavy Laser Cannon instead. Way scarier to go up against.

I decided to try the list unchanged on the local game evening and it gave excellent results.
Lost no ships (but took some damage)

killed all his ships:)
He had Ten numb, wedge and Tycho.

He tried to go behind me so I waited for the right moment and dropped one (1) bomb to make the point that it was dangerous.
Damaged wedge and Tycho

He kept his distance then but I managed to Ion wedge and I decided to dropp two bombs after that to kill of wedge as i knew where he would fly.
That also killed of the last hull on Tycho by some luck. and damaged Ten Numb.

After that it was my entire force against his damaged B-wing

I managed to use the saboteur twice to flip up damage-cards on the b-wing and the last one killed him

He never crashed into Krassis so no damage from the APL, but he olny had 3 ships so no surprice.

The saboteur and Ion was a nice combo.
One to set them up for the bombs and one to flip up the damage cards.

I did not get the chance to see what would happen if he tried to avoid the bombs more, but I guess that it might might cause trouble for the player that tries.

Next step is to reveal this force to another player and ask them to make a list to beat it.


The psycology of this list is that if he flies behind you, you must have the courage to wait for the right moment to drop the boms.
You must simply accept some damage for this and use the asteroids/ion to predict their location.
At least with higher PS, for lower ps you can just drop and be happy:)
