Alshain Najm question.

By quarzark, in UFS Rules Q & A

I have 3 Envoy of the Queen(Astrid 1/5 foundation) in my staging area. I play a low attack, then a mid weapon attack, and use Envoy of the Queen to discard the top 15 cards of my deck. I then play Alshain Najm, and use it's Combo E:

does Alshain Najm get the damage bonus from the 15 cards I discarded from the top of my deck with Envoy of the Queen?

No. Unless otherwise stated, discard refers to cards from your hand only.

id have to disagree, discard is a word used for discarding from the top of ones deck or from ones hand. unless specified it should mean either, since there are cards that specify that it must be discarded from your hand

The TR says "discard means from hand unless otherwise specified" and has for a long time. This came up with the anti-discard actions back in set 5 vs. discard from the top of the deck.

This came up with Ancient insight from set 2 and was ruled on then.
