No.

I don't think r2d2 is going to e as crazy as people think. You can only use his ability when you don't have any shields left, and the space of time where you have no shields, but have yet to take damage is VERY small window. Add that to the 50% chance to take a crit (that even chewie can't ignore) means it's a big gamble as to how useful he'll really be.

But R2 doesn't require an action or a specific maneuver to use, it just happens automatically every turn you don't have shields, so that is an extra point of damage every turn that the ship can take.

Yeah, once you take some hull damage you start running the risk of getting stuck with criticals, but it is actually only a 37.5% chance, not 50%.

I was pretty lukewarm on R2 to begin with as well, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that he really is good, yeah, you could get stuck with a nasty critical you wouldn't otherwise have gotten, but you can also get some of the not so bad crits, and more than half the time, not even that.

Also, if all your damage cards are already face up there is no downside to the card either, kinda silver lining thing there.

Yeah you can't double up on any named card even if it's a different type of card, it's the name that's important.

Still I'm liking both of the droids. Sort of wish for such iconic characters they were available in cheaper ships but I guess it makes the corvette more like xmas. The wife wondered why you couldn't just throw R2-D2 in the 1300 since clearly the movies he could fit, but I figured they'd want to make a crew version different since the 1300 is a different sort of beast and this seems pretty good. Not Astromech upgrade good, but that just would have been vile.

Nope and can't put Chewbacca crew on a Han falcon if you also have the Chewbacca falcon.

I see so little improvement in Imperial Aces and everything from transport and now Tantive is looking amazing. I know in the movies the rebels won but do they get to win every time in the game too?

I mean... I know how superior the Empire is and all... Rebel {scum} needed something to keep them afloat and playing (all empire all the time would be boring) but this pendulum swing is starting to feel a bit much.

I think I'd like to try out an EH Chewie YT w/ MF title, Luke, and 3PO. Round it out with either two Bandits and a Rookie or 2 Blues. I think Luke mitigates spending your action on evades with his focus-lite ability. Maybe I'll try out with the Blues against a buddy.
