Can someone tell me how the B-wing's cockpit is assembled so I know to disassemble it to embed magnets for rotation?
Or maybe even provide a tutorial for this modification?

Super easy... there is a half circle post from the body into the attached cockpit
I used a pair of pliers and a soft towel to grip the cockpit and gently rocked it free of the post.
You'd probably then want to cut the post from the main body, fill the cockpit depression with greenstuff, let that harden and then glue on the magnets.

Thanks!
I used a razor saw to cut off the cockpit and the dome at the rear, leaving just the collar that the assembly connects to the main wing with.
I drilled a hole through the collar, and matching holes in the cockpit and the rear dome, then glued a shaft to connect the cockpit and the rear dome, through the collar. As long as you're careful making the holes line up, it works pretty well.
You know, I like that idea better, because it's more durable and the cockpit would rotate like the actual movie prop.
I sawed off my cockpit and began drilling holes in the cockpit and then a hole in the ship, for 2 rare earth magnets... but then realized too late that I got the wrong sized magnets. The magnets were too large and I ended up just gluing the cockpit back on in a sideways position. So at least one of my B-Wings now is in a permanent sideways position. Meh it works.
As for the stand, the easiest way is to just nudge the thing lose and re-glue it in the position you want. Obviously this is NOT going to allow you to re position them.
Pics of this would be awesome from those that have done it. Where do you get magnets that small?

This is where I get all my magnets for WH40K models/modding, they should work for this as well, there are some tiny magnets you just have to look through the page a bit.
I dug a bit deeper:

These ones would work best, I think.

Meh, Darwinism at its finest. "the little boy who swallows the most marbles does not grow up to have little boys of his own"

You obviously don't have kids.

You obviously don't have a sense of humor.
I get my magnets super cheap from
http://dx.com/
Free shipping on any order, and their slow boat from Hong Kong travels a lot faster than FFG's slow boat from China!
I used rare earth magnets in 1/8th inch by 3mm and the worked fine for the cockpit and the stand for letting it spin. I have thought about doing the back part of the cockpit and maybe pinning them, or magnetizing them... not surenwhich I want to do yet.. but overall it's a fun and easy change to the B.
I got the magnets I used to pivot my B-wings from Radio Shack. They were the smallest ones they stocked, but they worked just fine.
