We haven't even heard a peep about it coming into the country... And we don't even need a translation! I think I read about guys in Australia getting, so whichever distributor is responsible for South Africa is seriously dropping the ball (the last several FFG shipments have been delayed past the dates the distributor promised...) -
thanks a lot man. the latest version will have to suffice for you until i migrate to new software and release 2.0. it still should be functional. though some character portraits will be default images. -
Whoa! Whoa Gullwind! Shhhhhhh! Disney does not have the rights to the Mutants, so Ixnay on the X Men, ok? -
Actually he reminds me more of Barrett from Final Fantasy VII (except obviously without the machine gun hands). I wonder if Somos is one of the remaining clone troopers... then they really would be "twin" shadows. -
Even though he has an ability called Deadly Precision, that weapons doesn't strike me as something that's super effective at long range. Maybe RG with a native accuracy boost. or just RGG since it looks pretty beefy I wouldn't be surprised at a 3 dice attack. Though that could be an upgraded weapon he gets later in the campaign. -
Forget the orange shoulder... the entire right arm apears to be in stormtrooper armour! Rather than it b somethng he scavenged or took as a trophy, I would prefer his story to be an ex-stormtrooper who saw the injustices first hand and defected.

Oops! Not paying close enough attention. Can't wait to get HotE. (BUT I HAVE TO. My FLGS had some ordering issues.)

False. Disney doesn't have the *movie* rights to X-Men. Marvel, as a subsidiary of Disney, still has the rights for comic books. I'm not sure about other rights, like board and miniatures games, though. -
Agenda first, story after.I dont expect they agonized at all over the casting of General Hux, but Abrams was concerned enough about the agenda to cast Cumberbach as Khan. Hiddleston gets to be Loki, but were going to make Thor a woman. Baron Mordo can be made black, but only because he's not really the bad guy, and Tilda Swinton is perfectly cast as a 100 year old Asian man.But what of Star Wars -
The "men are more physically capable" argument is unfounded. Men in North American culture are raised to be physical by the societal rolls the culture puts them into. In cultures where women share the physical work with the men (Somoan) the women are just as physically capable, strong, and muscular as the men because they are raised to be equal. Now, The role of genders in Westetn society are seeing a shift and media is showing -
I totally agree that we need a ruling on this. I can see both ways as well. My only counter argument is that a special ability is still defined as a special ability whether it happens to be free of costs in an instance or not. And as for Masterstroke and the command card utilizing the golden rule (card trumps rulebook) it is explicitly stated that the rule is to be broken. Final Stand does -
Yes it is legal There's no ambiguity here: Stay Down explicitly says "perform the melee attack from C&P again" and Vibrobayonet triggers whenever you do the melee attack from C&P -
Just downloaded this to my phone. This looks amazing and I can't wait to try it! -
Ko-Tun Feralo is a gal but yes it will be neat to see. From what has been spoiled so far regarding her abilities, she looks to be pretty strong - one of the big advantages I see is she essentially has the top part of Saska's Gadgeteer (3xp) and the bottom part of Remote Distribution (4xp) built into her starting ability Arms Distribution all for one strain and 0xp. Granted Saska's device tokens -
Yeah I can see but I'd still rule it as legal: you're arguing the melee attack from "perform the melee attack from C&P" (from stay down) is not the same as the melee attack from "while performing C&P, the melee attack". Simply because Stay down didn't specially say anything about C&P itself and only mentioned the melee attack from C&P Easier reading version: an action A contains B -
The ambiguity is that it says "after you resolve", but I do agree that it makes sense, since you are using the melee attack from Close and Personal. It's one of those situations, I think, where the text doesn't undeniably allow it but where it makes sense. . -
Here is the official ruling from FFG:
-
Just as an aside, it might be a bit rules-lawyery but the Vibrobayonet doesn't actually have to be on the gun that you use for the second part of the C&P attack. So if you keep your starter gun and attach the Vibrobayonet to that, you can still upgrade your main gun as usual using all of its attachment slots. -
Amazing woman character that was *very much not "one of the guys" -
In one word? Rubbish -
It'll be interesting to see how the new guy Ko-Tun compares to Saska.

Where would I do that Fizz?

See the Twin Shadows campaign guide p.5: During skirmish it works like normal. During the campaigns, heros can not use surge abilities with such attacks. Edited October 6, 2015 by jacenat
