total of AT-ATs I'd want, should the day ever come when they're made, would be four. I'm very much for trying to combine games, so the four "Star Wars: Mechanised Assault" ATATs would be transport for my "Star Wars Legion" company of Stormtroopers or Squadrons of Speeder bikes. Those AT-ATs themselves would be transported by my two "X-Wing" Gozanti's which might also appear as a flotilla in "Star Wars: Armada". Weird I know, but I like some continuity between my collections. Edited August 20, 2017 by Tommy Blunderbuss

answer is "Possibly", but it wouldn't be in regards to "Wave 3". It would be something else, I feel... Adepticon is out of the way. But the trick is, GenCon and Origins are far enough away that you would have to ask "Why Skip?" Why are the flotillas not just those codes, and what comes later are those codes? Honestly, there's too many variables to make an assumption on it. Hope for stuff, Yes. Hope for specific stuff or at a specific time

That sums it up quite nicely. (I didn't realize that the flotilla codes were the second group.)If I were the betting sort, I'd wager they're being pressured to keep Rogue One stuff hidden right now. The timeline of that movie perfectly matches the Armada timeline. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a new Imperial Commander card for this

proper combination of bombers and non-bombers is required, meaning that intel is critical to include and perhaps also squadrons that may engage enemy fighters (1-2 Escort squadrons). Lastly, a secondary threat is also needed so that the fleet can win even if the bombers are tied up by the enemy (this typically includes an Admonition with Ordnance Experts and Assault Proton Torpedoes in my case). Needless to say, a couple of flotillas are always present to supply tokens via Comms Net and rerolls through Bomber Command Center. Now, the changes that have occurred can be reasonably summarised with one word: Sloane. Sloane dominated the last tournament that we attended. These lists, in our context, typically include a significant air superiority force that is capable of swiftly removing intel from the enemy, thus tying potential threats to capital ships up and nullifying that threat. Therefore, we continue ponder whether

news article on the flotillas said that the point cost would be more comparable to a squadron than a ship. So are we talking like 25-30 points base cost, in theory? Are there going to be people bringing 4 of these things to really capitalize on activation advantage

squadron pack, but have cards for the Scarif pilots. This one would be my favorite option, and the ISD could have Thrawn too. Where do I start with the campaigns? Birth of the Rebellion, bringing in lots from Rebels and Rogue One. Lots of cool cards, locations ranging from Lothal to Scarif. This could tie in to some squadron releases of Krennic's shuttle, Tie Advanced Prototype, UWing, Phantom II, and perhaps two new flotilla's: a Rebel C-Roc Gozanti and those Empire transports from R1. Perhaps a "veterans" style release with blue CR90s too. Oh yeah and a 6x3 SSD gaming mat, with perhaps some "scenery" pieces for the bridge etc, would be awesome. Between us I'd rather that than a shrunken too far SSD that looks silly even in sliding scale. Can't wait to see what FFG announce

have not been a fan of the realities of Wave 3, but secretly in my deep dark I have a hidden hope that there are a bunch of other SKUs that were meant for this wave that LFL put the breaks on thanks to Rogue one. My secret hope is that they are being secretly produced alongside the flotillas and will be made available immediately once Rogue One hits, no waiting. Would make for a happy Prack filled Christmas

fine ship. Great at flakking squadrons, good in a reactionary "catch, blow up, run away" role vs. most ships. Can hunt flotillas adequately. Takes a lot of getting used to. At the very least you will want the Ordnance Experts and SW7 Ion Cannons from it, but if you give it a try and some practice I think you'll like

instance, is not as clear of an advantage. To that end, the starting point for the correct optimal bid for the Demolisher list is probably 43 points (one point less than just adding another raider). It may, in fact, be even larger than that (55 points, one point less than a glad) if you think the additional raider is not good enough to give up going first. Edit: This is also why I think flotillas will massively change the effectiveness of demo rush lists, as you can spam activations and cheap screeners in a way that list doesn't want, and out activate them. would agree on Armada and X-Wing, but not Legion. It's been a stable game with releases and update. They have precedence for yearly adjustments based off the meta and it does make the game healthier. That said, I have no idea how LFL perceives the game and IP handling. Did the Armada Flotilla Wars get all the way to LFL and they were unhappy? The consistent toilet bowl nerf in X-Wing 1.0? Does LFL care that much? Are they watching the content creators and reading discord? I think that might be extreme but you can do a lot when you have the money to hire people. I doubt Asmodee cares since they came into the picture recently in regards to Armada and X-Wing. I would imagine this is more of a restructuring by consolidating people in one studio, which in turn is projected to yield

personally feel its less about demolisher and more about swarm fleets which both sides can field and are equally devastating and as has been stated before the flotillas are just going to make it worse. But everyone was crying that the sky was falling about Ackbar and these days he is not as terrifying as everyone thought. The community is smart and will find a way to combat just about any build

Quasar-II, Starhawk MkII, Assault SSD, and (as I mentioned above) Munificent have red flak dice, so its gradually becoming more common. And I guess there's Heavy Fire Zone. As for ships with no blue flak: Onager Testbed, Arquitens Light Cruiser, Raider-I, Cymoon ISD, Torpedo Hammerhead, Ordnance MC75, both LMC80s, and the cheaper Flotillas, plus the new Acclamator-I. So thats 5 ships per faction that the evade would be completely useless against. But its definitely mainly there as fuel for his effect

Three Armada rule changes I have thought of.

Kiwi Rat replied to Kiwi Rat 's topic in Star Wars: Armada
word "Abuse" would imply breaking a rule, but as its stand its not abuse, when you use it in a legal way. Rebels need to sink in 30 points of VCX100 + 18 points of flotilla =48 pts total as a bare minimum, just to activate 2 sqds at stand off range. No one complains that the Quasar with FC can activate up to six sqds at long range and tear up most ships or fighter screens in a single activation. but you also have to pay a alot of points in Ship, upgrades and sqds to do that. The main disadvantage Relay has, is that you may end up overstretching your sqds, that they are on their own against the whole of the opponents fleet. I have never myself used relay, but relay has been used against me and frankly I dont mind, thats what my opponent have bought

know I'm late with this but with the release of Wave 3 having only flotillas, and it not being a question of if but when (especially with Disney in charge of Star Wars merchandising), when do you guys think that we might see the Resurgent Class in Armada, whether it be one of the two item numbers that don't have a product to go with them yet or possibly in Wave 4 or in a wave after that. I leave you with guys with this question, when do you think we might see the Finalizer? Also I forgot which book that recently came out but it has just been confirmed that the Resurgent Class is actually considered not a Star Destroyer but a battlecruiser so FFG may use this information and make the Resurgent Class the most powerful ship in the game unless they make a Super Star

    Rebel aces how to use?

AllWingsStandyingBy replied to Stefan 's topic in Star Wars: Armada
Mithel is king of autodamage, especially with Intel around. Howlrunner makes little 8pts hit like freight trains, while also providing a ridiculous buff to anything with Counter (which thanks to Dengar, everything has now).Rebels are a lot less Intuitive and also a lot less potent at their price range. In fact, they're unplayable given their high cost and so-so abilities. Luke's ability is great, but at least for now (pre-flotillas) there is no way to reroll his Bomber die so he's as likely to blank out as he is to bypass shields with a crit. Wedge is even worse, as his ability is nice but you'll want to be activating him with squad commands, which means unless you bring Dutch too, he's not likely to get that bonus very often. And so forth. So how do you use the Rebel Aces? Well, there
