I’d made myself go see TLJ with an open mind, no expectations about it being good nor bad. “General Hugs” made me think it was going to be much worse than any expectation I could have had. As far as RPGing is concerned, there are scenes that are meant to affect the characters emotionally or to show off that aspect of their personality and there are others where that isn’t really the purpose

Should be Crane-locked. You can play it in Scorpion, but only if you use Support of the Crane. I know, it’s a terrible idea, and it even doesn’t fit thematically. But just imagine the amount of people it would piss.

Considering a few things, I think that the child was stolen from imperial hands and then they put a bounty out to get it back. 1: the tracking fob. Yes, I know, it's a bit of a mcguffin. BUT it does seem that it tracks people based on their dna or some-such... and it has a relatively short range. SO, I'd think that whoever wants to track someone down with that would

I think it's more that Mando was hired by the Empire while the doctor was in the room while the droid was hired when the doctor was busy elsewhere. The Client didn't seem to be particularly interested in a living Yoda. Which might be part of why he's dead now.

Edgehawk is correct. Nexus of Power does have a full write-up on Tython and its various Vergences.

True love breeds hate. If you love something, you will hate what is trying to hurt it. Does that make love dark? That's where the Bendu come into play. Hate is considered dark while love is considered light. I think that's why the Jedi avoid all emotions. Bendu believe you can balance love and hate. Jedi believe, since love breeds hate, that you must avoid both. Sith love chaos(darkness) and consequently hate

I find the concept of grey Jedi to be trite. It's an excuse to play with darkside powers without wanting to be labeled a darksider. But the setting itself makes it clear, the use of the darkside makes you a darksider. Sure you can use those darkside powers for good but you are ultimately doing evil in order to do good. You can play a lot with the idea on whether it is right

I use way too many ellipses as well. I also overuse the phrases "In any event" and "That said". I see myself doing it constantly and sometimes within the same paragraph, which is ridiculous. I've never attempted to write something more than 5000 words long. I can certainly see how it starts to get really hard to avoid these sorts of things once you move into more long form storytelling.

Look at real history. Military leaders are rarely appointed on merit in dictatorships. Hux, as a character, makes a lot of sense.

Sorry, I meant 9 new neutrals, 3 copies of each, for a total of 27 neutrals. 13 new cards for each faction, 3 copies of each, so 39 cards. All non-Warlord, non-signature squad cards will come with 3 copies, fortunately.

Bear in mind that L5R is the first LCG with this kind of tournament restriction.

The only role locks I'm not a fan of are the ones on Clan specific Dynasty cards as you are completely blocking them to a single build type (whether Keeper for clan or worse Element for clan) but as conflict they are still viable, they just become splash options for other clans rather than the main clan. It will also be somewhat mitigated when we see second roles become a thing later this year

I have nothing against role-locked cards. Even role-locked dynasty cards wouldn't be a problem at all if role choice was free.

I can't see any choice beating Seeker of Void for Phoenix. Shameful Display + Kuroi Mori, plus extra fate when they flip up, way too good. There'd have to be a heck of a card restricted to another role to convince me that card's better than Kuroi Mori.

This is the guy supposedly competing for 2nd in command with Kylo Ren in TFA. He’s still ready to make a grab for the nr 1 seat during TLJ until Kylo sets him straight. He’s the First Order’s primary general. And he’s also an absolute nincompoop.

So, I’m not looking to knock these things before they’re even printed, and I’m definitely looking forward to flying them, BUT... Does anyone else find the idea of flying against them absolutely terrifying? I mean, the Delta-7 versions of Obi-Wan and Anakin are already incredibly hard to fight, and the Actis is even more maneuverable, with pre-positioning, and white Tallon Rolls. They also have access to a 3-die

Not really with only 3 hull. I know if I fly them, I will roll nothing but green blanks and they will order 66 themselves in no time

Could someone kindly link source(s) for the info on these? The details on the wiki seem to be lacking some things as yet. White Tallon rolls?

There will always be corner cases where that is the case, and as I mentioned in another comment if Feast or Famine wasn't a thing Seeker of Void would likely have been the default for most decks for the Shameful/Pilgrimage combo, and yes Phoenix having a solid Void province does make it more tempting for them over Fire for Feast, but where most clans don't have that super Void Province Fire opens up

Ah, right, that must be why Dragon and Lion have been dominating the Kotei scene.?

Yes! Those! I resent every samurai who doesn't "pout", "sulk", "could up", or "gloom". Hida Kisada sulked. Akodo Toturi clouded up. Tsukune pouted. Uh oh. Now I'm thinking about Tsukune pouting. I may need to change to a different website for a time.

That is the challenge with many proper Samurai characters, in many cases what is not said speaks louder than what they are actually saying and doing. Edited June 27, 2018 by Schmoozies

Hux is the son of the Moff that instituted the First Order's "raise 'em right - as stormtroopers!" plan, so it makes sense that he landed where he did. His behavior is what I'd expect from a human male raised to manchildhood. It's not in the movies but it is in canonical fiction, which in turn really enriches the stories portrayed on screen.
