above, co-ordinated attack and adrenal vapor). This was my first impression as well but I think between placing tokens without strain (spectrum scanner, study of enemies) and recovery with mon cala special forces he can afford the strain. There are a lot of times when you see two abilities with similar purposes on different heroes where one is just way more efficient than the other (Compare either of bivs 4 costs with the similar one Mak has, compare trick shot to target acquired, compare deadly prescision to force adept, compare vicious strike to called shot, or create opening, or for the cause, or weapons expert, or snap kick, or veteran's prowess). Between MHD-19's radiator and adrenaline stims and Gideon's ability to pull off strain, Subversive is pretty much a joke. That party isn't easy to get damage out of. Biv does massive damage, but it's single target. Gideon's Masterstroke target will probably be Davith, so Davith needs to be set up for it. However, Davith isn't really great for damage, so you really need to work at it and probably want him using a cleave weapon. MHD-19 will probably want to go with his grenade option, which isn't ideal but it's what

Biv seem to be able to dish out some smackdown if he only could get a weapon that has som extra damage on it. Right now all he can do with surges is accuracy

thought Loku was stronger, at the end he is a support, but at that point, better taking Gideon. So, approximately, can we split heroes in 3 groups? Like 1 (Best to choose for a group): Diala, Gideon, Fenn, Mak, Verana2 (not as good) Biv, Saska, Gaar, MHD (?)3 (bad) Loku

choices made in putting the Rebel team as well as the Imperial class and agenda deck together than by the specific campaigns in themselves. With that caveat, I do think it is somewhat easier than the other three campaigns and I also think - in the line with other previous posts - that if you were struggling in your playthrough, it was likely due to your choice of Rebels more than anything else. Saska, together with Biv, is one of the heroes that struggles the most to pull her weight and put together with another two support characters and a melee as the only non-support, you have given yourselves a significant challenge, regardless of campaign. The Rebels were playing Fenn, Gideon, Diala, and Davith - a very potent combo.Diala's Force Adept was, as always, the most valuable investment of the campaign, in giving both rerolls on all the attribute rolls in some

more damage past 2 black dice than a non-focused Pulse Cannon with either the Plasma Cell or Sniper Scope mod, although the difference is much less pronounced: Note that while the Self-Focused Pulse Cannon pushes 4D or more past these defense dice better than 80% of the time (a good indicator of reliability), this is limited to just one attack per round (unless the hero using it is someone like Mak or Biv who have XP cards that can allow them to perform an additional attack without spending an Action, or an ally like Leia is involved). The two modified Pulse Cannons have an 80% chance or better at pushing just 3 damage past these dice while attacking, but they can do it twice per activation (giving them an 80%+ chance at pushing 3+3 damage through, instead of an 80%+ chance at 4 damage). Assuming our hero

Biv at 6pts is similar to Onar, not quite as good, but similar in punch and sometimes staying power (depends on the attack and he should get a free combat suit) Davith, I've thought about using with ForceJump and some other newer cards to get movement over foes and then smack them. He can't go against Vader, but he's great at grabbing objectives, hitting smaller figures and finishing off figures. Just don't expect him to do too much

sure to be honest, fantastic question though. I initially jumped for Kayn Somos but then although he's overcosted he can do some work in the right lists. I think Saska is really tough to get value out of, but again she brings an option that you just can't get elsewhere (Merc in Rebel lists) I've seen people doing great things with Mak, Loku, even Verena and Biv, although I don't think either of those last two are "worth their points" I think if I'm to go for the "worst" card in the game atm I'd say Dengar, he's poorly designed in my opinion as his abilities revolve around applying conditions that that he can't apply because he can't punch the damage through. I'd maybe go as far as to say you can make any card in this game work though

they have some strong abilities but most are quite expensive and rebels already struggle with expensive command cards from all the unique heroes. I think there also need to be some more hunter cards. They have some cool ones, but they all take actions and require adjacency. That simply doesn't compete with lots of other cards. Primary target and Dirty Trick are the only good ones. Price on their heads should be 0pts. Biv, I think he just needs a slight health bump. He's an "in your face" brawler but just too squishy (8 health) for 9pts. Saska just really needs her grenade to be either a bit stronger or not hurt her. Right now, she has 1/3 chance to do nothing but hurt herself. Another point of speed probably wouldn't hurt either. She does need to be more expensive because of the built in temporary alliance

anything drop Biv for Gideon, Murne and Balance. Verena is actually a staple in your list as is since she gets an Evade + Black defense. She can also pull her weight with her abilities. Agreed on the Gideon "problem" though. Him and 3PO are the single most annoying things about playing Rebel or Scum, ESPECIALLY if you want to play all heroes (as I often do). If you don't take them it's almost like a handicap for yourself. Plus taking them all the time is boring as hell

need stun. Take two groups of eSabs perhaps. Stun will shut down wookies and gimp Biv a bit. Or you could try some sort of mercenary list using Punishing Strike to get stuns from Boba or Nexu or HKs, though that card is once per turn and doesn't have the same capabilities as two eSabs

Fixer, along with R2's →Scomp Link (renamed 'Slicer')? As the joker in the pack, whose wise-cracks were a key element of his character in the video game, I might give Scorch Luke's 'Inspiring' special ability (any friendly figure within 3 spaces may re-roll one dice when attacking). I also like the idea of porting over Verena Talos's →Close Combat/Fighting Knife special action to Sev (renamed 'Vibro Blade') - or possibly Biv's →Up Close and Personal, instead? I also like the idea of giving Sev Loku's →→Set Your Sights and Mon Cala Special Forces abilities. Will work on this now. Cheers,Matt Edited January 17, 2016 by hismhs

think I would also recommend trading Biv and Balance for Luke, then trade some Command cards for Son of Sky. Fenn and the Gang are pretty good if they can afford to move slowly up in a line. Trooper fire and Move. Repeat. Watch for times to use Assault. For extra added bonus, keep Luke near. Then you're using Aim or Assault with the reroll. The problem I've had with the troopers is that they don't like to be rushed. If you're on a map that require them to run for an objective, then you lose a lot of what makes this list trouble. But if you're playing a simple slugfest, this list can beat up a few more powerful lists. It will have a difficult time against the 4x4 though. With Protector working for them, even with the reroll it can be difficult

Biv's surge abilities on his melee attack. Sadly I find him very lackluster as he dies so quickly

duress with Bossk, 2 Trandos and eWing Guard (Gideon & whoever to fill out points)? Force users/abusers with Rebels Smugglers with Rebels I've even run an all Spy list with Rebels, I found some of the command cards to be lacking, but it could have been my poor usage. There are all kinds of themes, the only thing I would realistically whine about is overcost on a few popular characters (IG, Han, Chewie, Vader, BIV) and overuse of Gideon in all Scum and Rebel lists (He's almost too effective for his points

very little access to the amazing spy and trooper cards. I think most would agree the ranking was 1. Imperials 2. Rebels 3. Mercenaries. Then Jabba's realm hit, giving a third trait, "Hunter", to equal or surpass Troopers and Spies. Mercs got Shyla, Onar, Vinto, Weequays, and Jabba to go along with Greedo, Bossk, HK's, Ig-88, Boba Fett, and Trandoshans all with the Hunter trait. Rebels have alliance rangers and Biv. Imperials have the inquisitor. At this exact point, right after Jabba's hit, and right before the rule changes happened, I think the three factions were pretty balanced. I was personally running Rebels with Luke/eRangers to great effect, winning myself a regional tournament. Imperials were still around and still insanely popular, with elite Jets supplanting Heavy Stormtroopers, and Terro adding a new dimension to Imperial lists. People were still experimenting with Mercenaries

Endor boxed expansion will come out, or perhaps a second Hoth expansion, or I will break down and snag The Bespin Gambit, I will have to get another designated IA battlefoam case. *I will tend to custom paint, re-name, and do brief character bios of other rebels that the IA hero minis are being used for. To that end I have to figure out who my own "PC" is going to be... Maybe Biv repainted as a bounty hunter in arctic gear. He has little enough exposed skin that it could work. Call him "Tantos. You get a gold star if you know why. Other options for my personal avatar in battles include Davith or Obi-Wan repainted as a washed up old drunk. Remember the 90's? your luck. Give it to Fenn and rest easy knowing adrenaline rush is always going to work. Also I've had so many times where I just needed a dirge and didn't have it, that I can't get over that in demand surge ability. I do agree the timing on the practical solutions is a bit annoying though. Very counter intuitive. I usually use it after the attack because before is kinda dumb.Ah, biv. Has any hero exited me so much in the previews and then let me down so? I really think they needed to spend more time on him in play testing. Neither of him 4xp cards are amazing, though final stand is the better of the two. C&P makes him so strain intensive as it is that stay down and deadly precision are hardly ever useful. Deadly precision should have been a "once per round

Pulse Cannon).I have used the Brawler Build and I liked it, it is very mobile, and is designed around a single powerful shot. Gideon -Support: Masterstroke, Called Shot, Mobile Tactician, Air of Command, T3 of choice -Offensive Support: Masterstroke, Hammer & Anvil, Mobile Tactician, Called Shot, Military Efficiency* -Weapons: High Surge is best (Sporting blaster)I've never used the Hammer and Anvil build, but like Norgath says, it requires a good weapon. Biv -Build 1: Crushing Blow, Vibrobayonet, Trophy Armor, Into the Fray, Shake it Off*, Advance* -Build 2: Crushing Blow, Vibrobayonet, Shake it Off, Final Stand, Into the Fray -Weapons: Wants both high dmg and decent surge chance (pulse cannon is best)I like getting Crushing Blow first because it allows you use it in the first story mission, but Vibrobayonet first is fine, the order is mostly preferential. C&P with crushing Blow+vibrobayonet together

Shrouded Lightsaber is interesting and imo, you get it first or not at all.The biggest benefit of the weapon is the fact that you can get a tier 3 weapon well before you are supposed to get one.But as time goes on, while it is better than force pike, it is not 3xp better. And unlike Biv who has nothing better to spend points on, Davith would be stronger in the late game with a conventional weapon like force pike and those 3 xp spent elsewhere. As a side note: it boggles my mind that we got a 5th tier 1 melee weapon but still only 1 tier 3. like your talk about biv. He should be 5 points with his 8 hp like vinto and his mediocre surges. He brings no utility on the table except dmg but he is basically a melee due to close and personal and his min range is 2. His traits are good. At 6 he is just a very poor onar

Acccording to the polls on BGG (why can't we have polls here?) the hero ranking is about: Gideon Argus - Fenn Signis - Diala Passil - Verena Talos - Vinto Hreeda - Shyla Varad (in that order). Of which the best 3 are all from Core. The bottom 5 are Drokkatta - Ko-Tun Feralo - Jarrod Kelvin - Biv Bodhrik - Saska Teft, all from HoTE and Twin Shadows. Some of the Imperial decks seem to be significantly better than others. Military Might is considered one of the best, though. Only thing I can think of is that you may try to optimize the strength and synergy of your spawns even better? Tough call. Edited December 5, 2017 by Findariel

good and the forced movement is situationally useful. But the adjacent restriction is a fairly anti-synergistic since blast and demolish affect friendly targets, and 4 xp is a bit pricey. Overall, I am cautiously optimistic that we have a strong hero here, but it will still depend on some unknown factors. Most importantly, if Drokkatta's other 4xp skill is not strong, then the wookie will find itself in a similar boat as Biv. Also, both Fenn and Vinto have a skill that helps with single target dmg, if Wookie Wrath is the only single dmg card Drokkatta has, then it will really struggle vs high hp targets. And finally, if Drokkatta has no way to increase its endurance, then it may also struggle for strain, but if it doesn't need strain for anything other than Demolish/movement then it may not be too bad. It's starting weapon
