have taken a look at the other posts. There are some definite similarities especially in the problem cards, although there are situations where I Zigged instead of Zagged. There are several changes that they made to Biv and the base heroes that I glossed over. I will be editting my post to add several of these. I went a different direction with Loku and Saska than they did, but I feel they do need more fundamental changes. And of course, my list includes the JR heroes, as those lists -
play though, as he features in the mission! Last time we played all the figures we used were painted and it was great to see them all on the table I don't know if I am just slow, but when I mix a custom base colour for something, by the time I reach the highlight stage it has usually dried out, so I have to try to mix more that matches. Here's Biv. I've just noticed I photographed him before painting the base -
Think this depends on skirmish or campaign, I mostly play campaign, so my favs will relate to that: Imperial: Royal Guards (duh!)Mercs: NexuRebel: Mak is my favorite played. Although I really like having Biv in the party

think the upgrade is best used bringing in Gideon and or Biv to the Mercs -
takes me back to the 80's hunts through the racks of Kenner ones! Why is the one you want always in the back? There does seem to be an utter lack of long rage rebel Hoth stuff. I was hoping for a fast moving tauntaun, maybe with interchangeable rider like the dewback. A general Reikan figure would have been good too. Oh well. Got to make my own stuff. I figured out why Biv just doesn't fit the Hoth aesthetic no matter how I re-imagine his colors. It's the cut of the pants. So he is out of the running. Not that he offered much long range help anyways -
Here are the Twin Shadows and Bespin Gambit heroes along with their alternate paint schemes. If you look closely my alternate Biv has found a rare piece of Scarif Trooper armor. I really liked the look of them and I hope they add them to the game. And oh my gosh did it take a while to get the exact shade of purple to match the character card for Murne Rin. miniatures as well as your custom mash/up! I really love the custom cards you have made up for your troops as well as the rewards cards. Where did you get the templates, if you don't mind me asking. Your Chopper is top notch. I posted some new pics on my thread. I did an X-Wing paint scheme on an Alliance Smuggler that converts nicely to a Wedge Antilles and I gave Biv a piece of Scarif Trooper armor -
overpowered. He's good and more aggresively costed than the uniques we've seen up to this point, but he's not unreasonable. There's a bit of a sticker shock effect when you see his cost, his health and three icons in the lower right corner, but when he starts hitting the table, I guarantee you that the sky won't be falling. To put things in perpspective: while being admittedly squishier, even Biv Bodhrik has more straight-up damage potential than this guy. Heck, an elite Probe Droid can do the same amount of damage most of the time. Heck, a focused & re-rolling eStormtrooper will most of the time roll up more damage than this guy will. Subversive Tactics deck with new players. But they follow that up with something about experienced players being able to easily beat the ST deck. Experienced players, I beg of you, share your wisdom so we can hopefully have some of the fun back in our game. For reference, our team is Garkhan, Jyn (good grief this character sucks - and my poor wife is sentenced with playing her), Mak and Biv -
Inquisitor's power and would still see him losing a lot of health pretty quickly, but that added block ability might add some longevity too. In fact at 9 points, I can see him in a ton of lists. I fear that this unit will make RGC play obsolete in the competitive scene(Vader was already mostly out of it).On the other hand with him being around maybe we will see more Biv and Verena Lists popping up.Edit:I took too long posting that and hadn't seen Don's posts. There may still be some space for the RGC, but with the inquisitors extra health, lower costs, and ability to do ranged attacks with cleave, im having a hard time seeing the RGC used much anymore. round, cleave notwithstanding. In fact, if he didn't have cleave, I'd say he'd be underpowered - trooper swarm lists would just laugh at him. Same with the dodge thing, it's a nice ability, but having it does not make him overpowered, it makes him playable in the first place. With just one swing EVER, he'd be pretty pointless to attack white defence. OTOH, your suggestion of countering him with Biv or Verena or somesuch is propably the worst thing you could do. With a SINGLE three dice attack and the -Dodge ability, he's custom made to eat up middle-weight unique figures, bonus points if they have white defence. He's an apex predator, and his natural prey is Diala. Which in itself is incredibly cool. This is a guy that has spent his entire career hunting middle-of-the-pack Jedi survivors and nothing -
afraid that this is the case. But as the rules state, we choose heroes first and then the Imperial player chooses his deck. And obviously he paid close attention to what we chose. And we chose heroes we haven't used in previous campaigns. Return of the Hoth heroes were new obviously and Saska hasn't been in our campaigns yet so I wanted to test her. But a dps like Fenn or Biv would have been a better choice -
shots to take him down, whereas he could wipe the squad in 2-3 shots. Its funny that you say that Verena is exactly what his prey normally is, because it is true, but the other side of that is that Verena is designed to take down 3 dice figures. With her being a rebel, it is usually not that difficult to get her focused for a 4 dice attack on a melee figure. Biv would probably be harder to pull off against him, but maybe someone could get him to work well -
Whaaaaaaaaat. Lay off the death sticks dude, Loku is the heroes' MVP. Sure he doesn't hit that hard on his own, but he makes the entire team hit harder. The gun in his hands isn't his weapon, his teammates are his weapon (especially ones like Biv, Fenn and Gaarkhan, who can reliably position themselves to hit his target with multiple attacks per activation). A mark from Loku (which only costs a strain) makes the IP's big scary beatsticks go down at least one attack sooner (two or three for the really big guns with tons of HP like Vader and AT-STs), and as we all know, action economy is everything in this game. You wanna talk worst character, it's Jyn by a mile. (At least out of the core set. I haven't played enough with/against Verena or the engineer chick from Twin Shadows to know -
typically follow these 3 rules (assuming 4 heroes): -1 Support -At least 1 melee & 1 ranged -At least 1 single target dps & 1 multi target dps. Single target: Mak, Jyn(counts as both), Diala, Biv, Saska, Loku, Davith, Onar (can be either melee ranged), Jarrod, Ko-Tun Multi target: Fenn, Gaarkhan, Jyn, Diala (w/ Sarlacc), Verena(counts as both melee and ranged), Shyla, Vinto, Drokkatta Support: Gideon, MHD, Murne, Hybrid Support: Diala, Saska, KoTun Edited November 6, 2017 by Deadwolf -
ways to pick up an extra surge but Davith is usually going to want to spend that surge to stay hidden. 2) The Shrouded Lightsaber with Falling Leaf and the HIG and while Hidden will deal more damage that the Electrostaff... once (twice with the holocron) per round and assuming you focus your surges on damage. Once Falling Leaf is exhausted you're correct. Honestly though, I sort of feel like Davith is what Biv wishes he could be and then Shyla is just better than Davith -
just have images in my mind of Biv sadly wishing he was a Jedi (assuming Davith technically qualifies as a "Jedi -
most damage possible (except in the cleave section).- I am not listing all of the mod combinations, just the most effective ones.- This is based on a single attack. Since some mods are exhausted, mods that don't exhaust are sometimes superior to ones that do,when you attack twice. Biv (on the front page of the rulebook) is finally realizing (just like many of us have already did) that his "close and personal" attack is not as powerful as he thought Edited November 21, 2017 by IanSolo -
going to be refreshing seeing Han, Chewie and first edition Luke again (so many better options these days) and it'll be interesting to find out if Imperial figures are buffed when an ally is used (no threat level!) - Love this rule: As a campaign player, non-unique elite Rebel figures are rarely used (maybe never?) so it'll be nice to get some use out of those deployment cards - The announcement article features Biv (Twin Shadows) Verena (Return to Hoth) and even the Charged Ammo Pack item (Heart of the Empire). Those "future updates" seem very ready -
problem with biv is his health which c3po and him being near more guys helps with. That is a huge weak point he has. I am a fan but like Luke over him still -
with a new trait I think Boba should be 11 maximum. He's super survivable (Beskar armor is good stuff!) but he just can't pump out the damage he needs to do to justify being nearly a third of the list.I agree that many of the Skirmish Heroes need rework. Gaarkhan, Jyn, Fenn, Verena, MHD, and Murne could use a straight cost reduction, Mak needs to roll BG, Saska needs a COMPLETE rework, Biv has a great dice pool and abilities but needs more health, and poor Loku just doesn't hit hard enough. Gideon, Diala, and Davith are working fine as is, I think -
Quite impressive detail work! I'm worried about how will I'll be able to pull off the rebel insignias on Biv and Gideon -
Actually havimg a geriatric reunion upgrade for previously released figures would be a quick catch all for several figures. The Hot/Cold Cell If you include Biv, Saska, Fenn, Verena MHD you get similar bonuses like spectre cell and your team "counts

nice challenge to the old guard and helps new entry players compete (without paying too much) and I'm sure something else will be released soon which will be the new OP thing to worry about. Also, imagine if the Spectre Cell crew had been underpowered? Not much fun in that. A month ago people were saying they were all a bit lacklustre (before they revealed the SC card). Who wants more Dialas and Bivs gathering dust in yer box. Anyway, it might be a bit OP but the number of posts about how to beat it and how terrible it is get a bit annoying too. At least we got some fun new stuff. let's see what the meta looks like at worlds this year
