Well this was a mistake to say the least. Again went to heavy with the varnish and the whole figure became grey. Biv is my best example since you can see him before varnish above, not that he was the most grey one. I’m trying to fix this by putting some gloss on the figures (BT1, 0-0-0 and others) will update if it works (seem to do it for triple -
Played the game solo. I took Biv, Gideon, Mak, and Diala. In the first couple of missions, I activated the Heroes in the wrong order, which often left someone twisting in the wind, or in a position of near-uselessness. Some heroes have actions and additional cards that can be exhausted at any time, I really need to keep that in mind. one classic example, Diala was going to rest and throw a Focus on someone, she started with 2 Strain, rested, then I decided to force throw a guy (could have done it before resting), then I decided to spend a strain to move into reach range (still could have done this before resting), and then spent 2 Strain to remove a defence die, to lay down some smack. My take on the strategy is to manage your activations. By the end of it, I started to work

Saska is a small woman like Jyn, and Tress isn't human. Death Troopers are selected to be tall. (Compare Biv and Saska from the same boxed expansion.) It doesn't really matter to me other than larger is easier to paint -
think the the worst 5 in rebels are biv, diala, han (no upgrade), chewie(no upgrade), and verena talos. Scum is boba, dentgar, tuskins, Elite HK's (although HK's are my favorite figure in the game even ran them at Gencon the elites suck), and elite hired guns. Imperials are Repulser tank, AT-ST, RGC, general sorin, and Vader(no buff card -
dunno, I've played with Varena and had fun with her - her command card is great! She's not the best, but I wouldn't call her one of the five worst. For me I'd probably go: Rebel: Biv, Gaarkhan, Saska (extra fun for a jank tourney!), elite smuggler, Loku (honourable mention to Fenn, who is another one that would be fun to build a list around, and the regular troopers, who would not be) Merc: Elite hired guns, elite wampa, regular gammorreans, wing guards, regular trandos Imp: E-web (both kinds, but especially regular), Kayn Somos (as much as it hurts to say it), AT-ST/Weiss/Repulsor Tank (lumping these together to fit in some extra badness), elite royal guards, Sorin (another fun one for a jank tourney -
Verena can stick it to Vader even unless he rolls 6 blocks ? I think Punishing Strike and Under Duress has to be up there as top 5 in Mercs Biv Loku Diala and Gaarkhan have to make it in any Rebel list

runner up of 2018's Biv Cup, held in beautiful Columbus, Ohio AND as the sad man who has been working on a skirmish fixes document, I feel like I should contribute here: Top 5 Worst Rebels: Top 5 Worst Imperials: Top 5 Worst Scum -
surge) abilities are available for all attacks the figure performs. FAQ -- When a figure corresponding to a Deployment card performs an attack using an alternate attack pool (such as the melee attack from "Close and Personal" on Biv Bodhrik's Deployment card), they may still trigger their surge abilities, unless the ability triggering the attack states otherwise -
after our first Dengar Day celebration, my friend and I determined that out of the "unplayable" figures we used this past Sunday, only one is completely unusable. That is the e-web engineer. He used the elite version in one game and let me tell you, he's utterly useless. I don't even think lie in ambush would help him. We used Verena, Biv, Saska, RGC, Quiz, Kayn, e-E-web, General's Ranks, e-Wampa, r-Wing guard, last resort, r-trandoshans, r-tuskens, heroic effort, headhunter, fury of kassyk as these are what we drew from a pool that we devised. Each player had to play a squad from all three factions. I was most surprised with the r-trandoshans with headhunter. I play them like melee characters, so with headhunter now you have the threat of making him ditch 2 command cards each time you attack -
character, but her price was way too much and her bomb exploding in her face was comic but not effective. Change her points to 2 like the alliance smuggler (she doesn't have the slippery ability so she needs the extra health) or give her movement 5 like she has in the campaign and make her movement 3. Her surges are great, her dice are horrible, and the bomb thing she does is antiquated. Biv is fantastic but his numbers got mixed up. If he was 6pts for 9 health, he'd find a way into lists just for his Hunter ability. RGC has the best offensive surges in the game, and awesome downtown movement, but he can't stay alive long enough

group's been slowly getting the expansions and recently got Twin Shadows. We were able to apply a couple simple hot-fixes to the heroes to make them viable B+ tier. (strain adjustments for Biv and Saska gets a free token each round in addition to the +1strain'd token, for starters) ... Heavy Troopers and Tuskens just ... don't seem like they're worth it. We haven't had a whole lot of use with Tuskens, the couple times we threw them in it felt unremarkable. (your comments on those guys are welcome) Heavy troopers, tho, just kinda feel like they aren't achieving what they want to do. - the composite armor passive rarely kicks in, for starters (a lot of heroes are melee or have shorter range weapons, so they'll be within that 4 tile mark). So they don't feel tanky. This is partly because ... - their

sort of agree with this. He is a wierd piece for sure. He is like a way way better Biv. I think he was made when they were still afraid Regen would be too good. But he is still good and a very cool piece to play with -
Change suggestions: `1) Something like Chewie's Leia command card. He can add his attack dice to a Rebel Trooper Unit (as in the ones dressed like him) if he is also in range of the trooper's target. 2) Something to give Diala her foresight. I'm also not a fan of white dice for lightsabers personally. 3) Gideion: Entourage - Fleet Troopers 4) Biv should get white dice with no surge. He's WAY too close to adequate as written here -
prospective I can't compare the two. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the app content, however, more so than Flight of the Freedom fighter. I thought the story could have been a little better thought out, but overall I enjoyed the enemies become friends and friends become enemies twists. I feel like I could sit down and bang out a screenplay based on my play through and it would make an excellent film. Fenn and Biv are my regulars. They've been in 90% of the campaigns I've done. My head canon views them as best of friends. The grizzled Veteran and the ex-Stormtrooper who are sent all over the galaxy by Rebel command recruiting others. In this case, because I just got Jabba's Realm, I'd been waiting to use Vinto. I hadn't thought one way or another about Onar, but I'm glad I chose -
Right? How cool would it be to have a dark version of Diala, a skiff guard Onar, or a heavy stormtrooper elite of Biv -

that one. Second choice would be an entirely new box that comes app supported. Hoth was fun though. Actually, they have all been fun. The nice thing about the app is that they will have the ability to redesign some mechanics to allow some of the older stuff to work better to some extent, at least for the imperial figures. Though bad hero's seem like they will just stay bad hero's. Sorry Biv -
Because the app scales the difficulty according to Fame, I've had fun playing with any combination of heroes (Saska and Biv too). The way class cards are unlocked in the app also changes things compared to the regular campaign - you get at most one 4XP card, and only for the finale -
there Guys. Im trying to blast through illustrations for the character App to make sure i can Update to a 2.0 for IOS and Android in the next coming months. working hard doing some illustrations and saving some money to pay for some illustrators to help and i wanted to update you all with some new images Jarrod Kelvin (can scroll through for some different outfits) And Biv linework. the Illustration that noone will see in the app, as i understand it as noone plays him. Again you can download the current app here and can donate here, to help with my App coders time and hiring some more illustrators -
Biv is one of the coolest looking heroes in my opinion, and yet, also one of the suckiest. Edited February 11, 2019 by King_Balrog -
Rebel side: I would never deliberately perma-ban any particular hero, it was always "if you guys are going to choose X, then you cannot choose Y/must pick Z", so if they pick Gideon or Shyla then the other heroes must be chosen from a weaker pool. For example, Gideon+Mak+Fenn+Biv is fine but Diala+CT+Drokkata+Fenn is not Imperial side: I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by banning 4 class decks: Subversive Tactics is the anti-fun deck but is not an unbeatable deck imo, I think most of the bad experience comes from new players because SubTac requires a very different shopping strategy. For example, if I'm playing Fenn I might go for Suppressive fire if I got 3xp, but against SubTac I'd go for Trench fighter I don't see what's the problem with the other -
Even still, you can go core box only and there are way better options than Boba Fett (Elite trandos for example). The only meta I can think of that involves Fett is the meta where I paid $15 for this thing so I might well use it once or twice, before I go back to hoping for a fix card. Biv is another one. You've got a 9 cost melee (essentially) figure with 8 health. If his damage was off the charts, maybe but its's really not. I suppose a really specific meta could be created where you do bring a few of these cards, but they're clearly bottom tier when it comes to viability regardless of power creep -
Haven't touched IA since the accident above. Haven't felt like it BT1 is screwed, nothing I did helped. Biv's front is okay but his back is not. Triple zero is okay as are the other figures that was sprayed at the same time. Will post pictures of that when I got some pictures. In the meantime here is, just finished, Boba Fett -
theaficionado a part of your committee?^ (considering all the work he put in i'm sure he'd have a lot to provide meta and suggestion wise. How do you determine a change is necessary per unit basis? Internal vote? What even is your focus as a Committee? Bring units that are rarely used back to the table? Fixing the mistakes of FFG by making useless characters more effective? (You should have started with Biv and Saksa- the injustice done to them is disgusting) Edited April 9, 2019 by King_Balrog
