come up with back stories for their troopers. It adds even more character to the miniatures. I am doing a squad of Stormtroopers as a squad of survivors of Scariff. They stayed together and Loyal to the Empire even after what Grand Moff Tarkin did. They are going to be traditional white except for their right arms which will be the Shoretrooper armor colors. I originally painted the piece of trooper armor on my Biv Bodhirick figure for Imperial Assault with a Shoretrooper design and loved it. So I am giving a Legion squad the same treatment. find pictures through any internet search but they are a cream color and have a mixture of red, white and blue on the shoulder and bicep piece. They are not finished but my Biv Bodhirick can be seen in the Imperial Assault thread under C3POFETT's Miniatures -

them. Jabba's Realm has both a powerful (Hutt Mercenaries) and a fun class deck (Nemeses). I like Heart of the Empire for its slightly shorter length. Reactive Defenses doesn't seem to be powerful enough for good rebels, Power of the Dark Side is quite interesting. I think Bespin Gambit is more swingy (and uneven) than Twin Shadows, which on the other hand is overall a little harder for the rebels (and Biv and Saska need the rest of team be above average). Imperial Black Ops and Inspiring Leadership are not the easiest to use well but allow a lot of creativity and good combos for a good planner. Edited May 4, 2018 by a1bert -
Mostly done, except for the emblems being messy and missing. Oh God, I just noticed the strap buckle is brown. My favorite detail in The Force Awakens is the little bits of laminate clattering on the ground after a stormtrooper gets crit'd. I wanted to replicate effect that on a base, and Biv Bodhrik loves nothing more than punching stormtroopers. I shaved bits of PVC pipe with an exacto knife and covered them in Tamiya Smoke (eq. Nuln Oil Gloss) so they look charred, but shiny

have better synergies with other figures and improved them in other ways we might see some more weird lists. I want to think of say, 12 figures that don't get used (4 from each faction) and then group them into 3 or so thematic traits (roughly) and see if we can come up with some fun CC ideas that would then make those figures tempting to field in a list. For example: Fenn, Biv, Diala, Loku, RGC, Blaise, Kayn, Sorin, Bossk, Dengar, Trandoshans, Nexu ?? (just ideas) Then you have a few traits: 1) Engineer/Technician/Slicer??: Loku, Sorin? Dengar? 2) Guerilla/Survivor/Assassin? : Fenn, Blaise, Bossk? 3) Academic/Mystic? no idea______? : Diala, RGC, ? Then someone like Fenn, who had trait 2) would have access to a CC like "Guerilla Warfare: two adjacent friendly figures become hidden/ or two friendly figures gain two movement points" or whatever. One plus is that these "minor fixes" would -
google doc to open (probably because google is blocked in China). Could you just cut and past the deployment cards that were in the top 16 into a post? I think we would still allow any command cards but getting IG88, Darth, Han etc, off the board for a while would be fun... Might even see BIV -
would you rank your updated Biv and Saska in relation to other heroes after using them in a campaign? I've yet to play the game, have core and twin shadows. It's unfortunate that I would probably have to discourage players from using them in their default form considering how poorly they are ranked by most people. I wouldn't mind using your updates as long as they don't become too powerful

Still nothing stopping them from making an attachment for "vehicles with a figure cost of 10 or greater" or some such, like they did with Unshakable. I think that might be the fix I would like the most, other than a few that I know are never going to happen *cough*Biv*cough -
their head based that and the little thematic bits and pieces on their class cards, personal missions, etc. I've heard a lot of people complain that they don't get to play as Luke, Han, Leia, etc., but I'm like you in that I like it better this way. It makes the Star Wars galaxy feel like it's bigger than one family. Also, I will go to my grave insisting that Biv Bodhrik is one of the coolest Star Wars characters out there -
Gaarkhan spends 4XP for Brutal Cleave, Biv suffers 2 strain for Close and Personal, needs to be adjacent to the target and the attack must target the same figure (so is aborted if the target was defeated in the melee attack), Jyn must suffer 2 strain to activate Quick Draw, and imperial figure positioning can prevent it often. Barrage seems to compare favorably by the same 2-strain cost, no XP cost, can target a different figure than the target, and combos with his other abilities, for example the starter weapon gives a damage power token if the target doesn't suffer damage. And we haven't yet seen his other class cards. (Edit: Btw, what do you mean by gaining an additional action?) Edited July 1, 2018 by a1bert -
Time for another Hero. Biv Bodhrik. Really liked the character art except the red gun so I made it blue instead -
pricing list builder app that could increase rate of change. I'm sure they go through loads of work to create new material for each release, but I think they proved with the han Vader chewy upgrades that they can just as easily excite the community with updates to existing units. I would be so excited if suddenly, just do to cost updates, loads of unique figured became playable. I want to play loku, biv, saska, murne in a competitive list
-
yeah, unfortunately I don't think these units are a priority for FFG's release. I love Loku and Biv in skirmish but I can't justify their cost FFG wants to mainly fix the "popular" figures to y'know...bring in more sales. A skirmish fix for Saska vs. a skirmish fix for Boba Fett would achieve very different results -
Episode 60 is up. Sam and I talk about making mid-tier figures work, and flesh out why some lower tier figures--like Maul--who aren't quite as bad as Biv and Saska, might have a hard time breaking in. I'm going to get Brett on ASAP for a discussion on the spoiler today. Rest assured it will be apocalyptic. https://zionsfinestia.podbean.com/e/episode-060-tearing-it-up-in-the-tier-twos/ -
yeah, 3D printing is the way to go, and app idea sounds good too! Fans could definitely fix old cards too (Biv?!) and make it fun to play rarely played stuff -
love the fixes and they will surely make the game more fun and the armies more diverse. I don't think Biv can spend movement points beetween the attacks since they are in one ability. As most leader abilities work now from 3 spaces away the Royal guard champion should be able to spend movement points beetween brutality attacks or gain reach to be the best at what you want it to do. have played the Jabba campaign with: 1. Jyn, Vinto, Jarrod, Drokkatta 2. Ko-Tun, Loku, Onar, Verena 3. Diala, Fenn, Saska, Shyla 4. Gaarkhan, Mak, Biv, Murne All in Hard, all great experiences with their own challenges. (In the last one I didn't get that good weapons or modifications -
a1bert, you're a fast boy, ain't you! You've played it 4 times already? As for the story -- without spoiling too much -- is the app story & moral choices variations on what we had in the original Jabba's Realm, or have they come up with brand new hard choices? (I'm good with both ) And finally, some feedback on my team please? My gf and I will try the app soon, playing Biv, Gideon, Shyla, & Vinto. Will those guys make a good team for Jabba's Realm, you think? Edited August 17, 2018 by angelman2 -
what the choice is, and what the situation is. I have not played with Gideon, but my experience is that any group can be used (even with Hard), because the difficulty adjusts according to Fame in more ways than just the costs of imperial/mercenary group. And Gideon isn't "broken" in the app because he only gets Masterstroke for the finale. I think the only thing you need to keep in mind is that Biv and Shyla are both "melee", which provides its own challenges. I played two missions on some days, but Jabba's Realm campaign being addictive isn't why I have "already" played it 4 times -
There's definitely some moments where you make moral choices, but it's mostly choices like between different shades of grey. I'm not sure about Biv in the app in the normal campaign I found him lackluster but you do you....Shyla is a always a good choice. Vinto is good but he's just not my favorite to play- in general I find white die characters in this app campaign less forgiving (I had to face weequays, HKs, gamorreans multiple times), and especially in this campaign there aren't many pierce surges flying around so i tended to survive longer with my other folks w/o getting wounded -
came to believe that any hero built and played right can be strong (except maybe Biv, bad execution of an interesting design...) Some heroes like Onar have high power potential, but can easily be played wrong (this is a counter intuitive hero to play). A higher skill cap hero like that will always be rated below true power. It would be great to have such a large statistics tier list for Imperial Class decks

Also, depending where you play locally, most casual face-to-face will allow proxy for things like Negation. Even Store Championships are considered casual play events and most players there will have no problems letting you proxy or borrow what you need. (Ask me about Biv Cup 2018 sometime!) And you don't have to print up a card and stick it in a sleeve - just put a card in your deck that has no business being there (like Vader's card in your Spectre Cell CC deck). It does get more difficult to juggle more than one card proxied in this way, I'll admit -
possible. I find "balanced mission" to be a highly difficult concept to achieve. What is a balanced mission? A mission that can be equally won by both sides? Well what if the rebel players have more experience than the imperial player? Should we say that a balanced mission is a mission that two equally experienced sides can equally win? But then, how will an experienced rebel player groups using some of the worst heroes (Biv and Saska comes to mind) perform against an experienced imperial player using one of the best imperial class deck available? Can we still talk about a balanced mission? And what if the rebel players are playing the mission for a second time? With the elements of surprise gone, it must give the rebel players an edge over the imperial player ... I don't think it is lazy game design but a consequence of an expanding -
That's actually a fun idea... lump in Loku, Biv, Saska, Diala, Gaarkhan, maybe some others (I actually think MHD and Verena aren't that bad) and have some attachment card for the Hot/Cold Cell (I finally got it, Tatooine and Hoth right?). also it would give you another reason to buy Hoth to go along with Negation
